NK Roltek Dob produced a dominant cup performance to beat Turnišče 4-1 in the Slovenia Cup on 24 October 2026, advancing comfortably after a clinical attacking display. The visitors controlled the game from the early stages, scoring twice before half-time and adding further goals after the break to put the result beyond doubt.

Match overview

Roltek Dob started with intent, pressing high and moving the ball quickly in the final third. Their early pressure was rewarded with the opening goal inside the first ten minutes, when a neat passing move opened up the Turnišče defence and the forward finished confidently.

The second goal arrived before the half-hour mark, again from a quick attack down the flank. Turnišče struggled to cope with Roltek Dob’s movement between the lines and conceded a third shortly after the restart. The home side did pull one back with a well-taken goal in the second half, but Roltek Dob restored their three-goal cushion late on to complete a convincing win.

Key moments

• Early opener: Roltek Dob took the lead inside ten minutes with a low finish after a slick passing exchange.
• Second goal: A cross from the right was converted at the back post to double the visitors’ advantage.
• Third goal: A quick counter-attack early in the second half effectively ended the contest.
• Turnišče consolation: The hosts scored with a strong run and finish, briefly raising hopes of a comeback.
• Late fourth: Roltek Dob sealed the win with a close-range finish in the final minutes.

Tactical story

Roltek Dob’s superiority came from their speed of play. They moved the ball forward quickly, attacked the spaces behind Turnišče’s defence and were ruthless in front of goal. Their midfield won most of the second balls, allowing them to sustain pressure and prevent the hosts from building any rhythm.

Turnišče improved after the break and scored a well-deserved goal, but they left too much space when pushing forward. Roltek Dob exploited that with a late fourth, underlining the gap in quality between the sides on the night.

Standout performers

Roltek Dob’s attacking midfielder was the architect of the win, linking play and creating several chances. The forward who scored the opener and the winger who provided the second goal were constant threats, while the defence dealt comfortably with Turnišče’s long balls.

For Turnišče, the goalscorer was their brightest moment, showing good strength and finishing. The goalkeeper made several saves to keep the score respectable, but the home side could not contain Roltek Dob’s attacking depth.

What the result means

The victory sends NK Roltek Dob into the next round of the Slovenia Cup with confidence. For Turnišče, the cup run ends in disappointing fashion, but the experience of facing a stronger opponent will be useful in their league campaign. Roltek Dob’s ruthless finishing and quick transitions made them worthy winners on the night.
