ND Beltinci stormed into the next round of the Slovenia Cup with a commanding 5-0 away victory over Tromejnik on Sunday evening. The visitors were ruthless from the opening minutes and never allowed the home side to settle, turning the cup tie into a one-sided affair.

Match overview

ND Beltinci imposed their higher-level experience from the first whistle, pressing aggressively and moving the ball quickly. Tromejnik struggled to cope with the pace of the attacks and found themselves chasing the game early. By half-time the tie was already effectively decided, and Beltinci added further goals after the break to complete a comprehensive win.

Key moments

• 7th minute: ND Beltinci opened the scoring early after a flowing move through midfield. The finish was composed and set the tone for the evening.
• 23rd minute: The lead was doubled when a defensive error was punished with a low shot from inside the area.
• 38th minute: A third goal arrived before half-time, effectively ending Tromejnik's hopes of a comeback.
• Second half: Beltinci added two more goals, including a well-taken finish on the counter-attack, to round off the scoring.

Tactical story

ND Beltinci's pressing game was too much for Tromejnik, who were forced into long clearances and struggled to string passes together. The visitors won most of the second balls and repeatedly attacked the space behind the home defence. Once the first goal went in, Beltinci played with confidence and patience, controlling possession and choosing the right moments to accelerate.

Standout performers

Beltinci's attacking players shared the goals and caused problems throughout. The midfield was dominant, winning tackles and setting the tempo, while the defence stayed alert to keep a clean sheet. Tromejnik's goalkeeper made several saves to prevent an even heavier defeat, but the home side could not find a way to disrupt Beltinci's rhythm.

What it means for the cup

The result sends ND Beltinci into the next round of the Slovenia Cup with confidence and a healthy dose of momentum. Cup ties can be unpredictable, but this was a professional performance from start to finish. For Tromejnik, the defeat ends their cup run, though the experience of hosting a stronger opponent will be valuable as they return to league action.
