Kamboi Eagles 3-0 Mighty Blackpool — Kamboi Eagles produced a commanding 3-0 victory over Mighty Blackpool in the Sierra Leone Premier League on October 12, 2026, with a dominant first-half display and two second-half goals sealing a memorable home win.

Match Overview

Kamboi Eagles came out with real intensity, pressing Mighty Blackpool high and refusing to let the visitors settle. The early pressure paid off when Alusine Kamara opened the scoring inside the first twenty minutes. Mighty Blackpool tried to respond, but they struggled to keep possession and were repeatedly forced into rushed clearances.

The second half was even more one-sided. Kamboi Eagles doubled their lead just after the restart through Kamara again, and a late third goal from substitute Sahr Kanu completed a thoroughly deserved victory. Mighty Blackpool's afternoon went from bad to worse when they were reduced to ten men after a reckless challenge.

Key Moments

• 18th minute: Alusine Kamara gave Kamboi Eagles the lead with a composed finish after a quick exchange on the edge of the box.
• 36th minute: Mighty Blackpool's best chance of the match, a header from a free kick that went narrowly wide.
• 54th minute: Kamara struck again, pouncing on a loose ball and rifling it into the bottom corner for 2-0.
• 70th minute: Mighty Blackpool were reduced to ten men when a defender was shown a straight red card for a lunging tackle.
• 82nd minute: Sahr Kanu added the third, finishing off a flowing team move with a first-time shot.

Tactical Story

Kamboi Eagles lined up with an aggressive 4-3-3, pressing Mighty Blackpool's defenders and cutting off passes into midfield. That strategy created turnovers in dangerous areas, and the front three constantly rotated to pull the Blackpool back line out of shape. The early goal gave them confidence to keep pushing forward.

Mighty Blackpool tried to build from the back but were met by wave after wave of pressure. Their midfield struggled to link with the attack, and once they went down to ten men, the game was effectively over. Kamboi Eagles controlled the tempo, moved the ball patiently, and added a deserved third goal late on.

Standout Players

Alusine Kamara was the clear man of the match with two well-taken goals and relentless movement. Sahr Kanu made an immediate impact from the bench, while Kamboi Eagles' captain controlled the midfield and kept his team organised. For Mighty Blackpool, the goalkeeper made several saves to prevent an even heavier defeat, but the defence was overwhelmed.

What It Means

This result boosts Kamboi Eagles' position in the Sierra Leone Premier League table and sends a warning to the teams around them. Mighty Blackpool, one of the country's most historic clubs, remain in trouble and will need a rapid response in their next fixture. The defeat also raises questions about their discipline after the late red card.
