Jedinstvo UB U19 1-2 FK Novi Pazar U19: Visitors Fight Back in Serbian U19 League

FK Novi Pazar U19 produced a mature away performance to beat Jedinstvo UB U19 2-1 in the Serbian U19 League on September 20, 2026. After falling behind early, the visitors responded with two well-crafted goals and managed the game intelligently in the closing stages to secure a valuable three points.

Jedinstvo started the brighter of the two sides, pressing high and looking to use the enthusiasm of their young midfield to dictate the opening exchanges. Their efforts paid off in the 12th minute when a quick passing move opened up space on the edge of the box, and a low finish gave the home side a 1-0 lead. It was a confident start, but Novi Pazar refused to panic.

Key Moments

• 12' — Jedinstvo 1-0: A neat exchange on the edge of the area ended with a composed finish.
• 41' — Jedinstvo 1-1: Novi Pazar equalised before half-time with a header from a deep cross.
• 73' — Jedinstvo 1-2: A clever through ball split the defence, and the striker rounded the goalkeeper to score.
• 88' — Jedinstvo pressure: A late free-kick was cleared off the line as Novi Pazar held on.

The equaliser just before half-time was a crucial moment. Novi Pazar had grown into the game, using their wide players to stretch Jedinstvo’s back line, and the goal gave them belief. They continued to press after the break, and in the 73rd minute they found the winner when a perfectly weighted through ball sent their striker clear. He showed great composure to round the goalkeeper and roll the ball into an empty net.

Tactical Story and Standout Players

Novi Pazar’s tactical discipline was impressive for a youth side. They defended in a narrow block, forcing Jedinstvo to play wide, and then used their pace on the counter-attack. Their midfielders worked hard to win second balls, and their centre-backs were strong in the air, dealing with numerous crosses in the final 15 minutes.

For Jedinstvo, the No. 10 was their most creative outlet, linking play between midfield and attack. However, they struggled to break down a well-organised defence after taking the lead. Novi Pazar’s striker was the match-winner, while their goalkeeper made a vital late save to deny Jedinstvo an equaliser. The visitors’ captain also led by example, organising the defensive line and keeping composure as the pressure mounted.

What the Result Means

The win moves FK Novi Pazar U19 into a stronger position in the Serbian U19 League and highlights the quality coming through their academy. For Jedinstvo UB U19, it is a difficult defeat to take after a promising start, but the performance contained enough positives to suggest they can bounce back. Youth football is often about development as much as results, and both sides showed why they are capable of competing in this division.

Novi Pazar will take confidence from their resilience, while Jedinstvo will focus on game management and converting early dominance into stronger results.
