Vojvodina Novi Sad claimed a composed 2-0 victory over Radnički 1923 Kragujevac in the Serbian Mozzart Bet Superliga, scoring once in each half to secure all three points at Stadion Karađorđe. The result gave Vojvodina a valuable clean sheet and reinforced their reputation as a difficult team to beat on home soil.

Match overview

Vojvodina controlled the rhythm of the contest from the opening stages, keeping possession patiently and forcing Radnički 1923 Kragujevac into a deep defensive shape. The home side’s movement between the lines created steady pressure, and the breakthrough arrived midway through the first half when a well-worked attack down the right ended with a low finish from inside the penalty area.

Radnički responded with a more aggressive approach after the interval, pressing higher and looking to disrupt Vojvodina’s build-up. However, the visitors struggled to turn territory into clear chances. Vojvodina absorbed that spell and doubled their advantage with a clinical second goal that effectively settled the match.

Key moments

• 23rd minute: Vojvodina opened the scoring after a quick combination on the right flank, with the ball cut back for a first-time finish.
• 38th minute: Radnički produced their best moment of the first half, but a blocked shot from the edge of the box kept the home goalkeeper untroubled.
• 58th minute: Vojvodina doubled the lead through a composed move in the final third, finishing calmly after drawing the away defence out of position.
• 76th minute: The visitors pushed numbers forward in search of a route back into the game, but Vojvodina’s centre-backs dealt comfortably with a series of crosses.

Tactical story

Vojvodina’s 4-2-3-1 structure worked well throughout the evening. The double pivot protected the back four, while the wide attackers stayed high and wide to stretch Radnički’s defensive line. When the visitors tried to press centrally, Vojvodina bypassed the pressure with quick switches of play and intelligent movement from the striker.

Radnički 1923 Kragujevac were more competitive after half-time, but their attacking phases lacked precision. Their midfield won several second balls, yet the final pass too often went astray. Vojvodina, by contrast, looked dangerous whenever they broke forward, and their decision-making in the final third was the difference between the two sides.

Standout performers

Vojvodina’s goalkeeper delivered a confident display, commanding his area and making one important save early in the second half. The midfield anchor was equally influential, breaking up play and starting attacks with simple, effective passes. Up front, the home side’s centre-forward led the line impressively, holding the ball up and bringing teammates into the game.

For Radnički, the goalkeeper kept the scoreline respectable with a handful of saves, while the captain in midfield tried to drive the team forward. Ultimately, though, the visitors lacked the cutting edge needed to punish Vojvodina’s brief lapses in concentration.

Season impact

The 2-0 win strengthens Vojvodina’s position in the upper half of the Mozzart Bet Superliga table and adds another clean sheet to their home record. For Radnički 1923 Kragujevac, the defeat is a reminder that they must be more ruthless in away matches if they are to climb the standings. Vojvodina will take confidence from the control they showed in both phases of the game.
