FK IMT Belgrad claimed a hard-fought 1-0 victory over Radnik Surdulica in their Serbian Mozzart Bet Superliga clash at the Stadion FK IMT on October 10, 2026. A second-half strike from Nikola Petrović proved enough to separate the sides in a tense, tactical encounter that kept the home fans on edge until the final whistle.

Match Overview

The match was a classic tale of dominance without reward for long stretches, as IMT controlled possession but struggled to break down a stubborn Radnik Surdulica defence. The visitors arrived with a clear game plan: sit deep, frustrate the hosts, and hit on the counter. For 66 minutes, that plan worked almost perfectly. IMT's midfield trio of Jovanović, Marković, and Stanković kept the ball moving, but Radnik's back five absorbed wave after wave of pressure. The breakthrough finally came from a moment of individual quality, and once ahead, IMT managed the game with maturity to secure all three points.

Key Moments

• 67th minute – Goal: Nikola Petrović latched onto a defence-splitting through ball from captain Miloš Jovanović, rounded the goalkeeper with a composed first touch, and slotted into an empty net to send the home crowd into raptures.
• 74th minute – Radnik chance: The visitors nearly responded immediately when a free-kick from the right was met by a powerful header, but IMT goalkeeper Đorđe Nikolić produced a superb reflex save to preserve the lead.
• 89th minute – Late scare: Radnik threw bodies forward and won a corner. The ball fell to striker Stefan Ilić, whose low shot was blocked on the line by a desperate IMT defender.
• 90+3 minutes – Full time: IMT saw out the remaining seconds to claim a valuable home win.

Tactical Story

IMT lined up in a 4-2-3-1 formation, with the full-backs pushing high to stretch Radnik's defensive block. The visitors deployed a 5-3-2 system without the ball, essentially becoming a 5-4-1 at times, and looked to spring quick counter-attacks through their two strikers. The key tactical battle was in wide areas: IMT's overlapping runs created numerous crossing opportunities, but Radnik's centre-backs dealt with the aerial threat well until Petrović's clever movement unlocked them. After the goal, IMT dropped their defensive line slightly and invited pressure, relying on counter-attacks to kill the game. Radnik's inability to create clear-cut chances from open play ultimately cost them.

Standout Players

Nikola Petrović (IMT Belgrad): The match-winner was a constant nuisance for Radnik's defenders, dropping into pockets of space and timing his runs perfectly. His finish was cool and decisive.
Miloš Jovanović (IMT Belgrad): The captain dictated the tempo from midfield, completing 92% of his passes and providing the assist for the only goal.
Đorđe Nikolić (IMT Belgrad): Made two crucial saves, including a point-blank stop in the 74th minute that kept his side ahead.
Stefan Ilić (Radnik Surdulica): Radnik's most dangerous outlet, held the ball up well and forced the late goal-line clearance.

Table Impact

The victory lifts FK IMT Belgrad into the upper half of the Mozzart Bet Superliga table, keeping them in contention for a European qualification spot. For Radnik Surdulica, the defeat leaves them hovering dangerously close to the relegation zone, and they will need to find goals quickly to climb away from trouble. The three points could prove vital for IMT's ambitions this season.
