Semendrija 1924 and Proleter 023 shared the points in a 1-1 draw in the Serbian Mozzart Bet Prva Liga on 17 October 2026. Semendrija led for much of the contest, but Proleter responded with a well-worked equalizer and held on through a tense final phase.

Semendrija start strongly

The home side looked the more authoritative team in the opening half-hour, moving the ball with purpose and pressing Proleter 023 high. Their dominance was rewarded when Nikola Jovanovic found space in the penalty area and finished calmly. The goal gave Semendrija confidence, and they continued to create half-chances through crosses and quick combinations around the box.

Proleter 023 stayed in the game, though, and their resilience paid off after the break. A sharper second-half performance brought them back into the contest, and the equalizer changed the momentum of the match.

Key moments

• 34th minute: Semendrija took the lead when Jovanovic latched onto a through ball and slotted past the goalkeeper.
• 52nd minute: Proleter’s first serious warning came from a header that clipped the top of the crossbar.
• 63rd minute: Stefan Markovic equalized for Proleter with a composed finish after a quick move down the left.
• 81st minute: Semendrija pushed for a winner, but Proleter’s goalkeeper made a strong save from a close-range effort.
• 90+2 minutes: A late set piece caused panic in the Proleter box, but the visitors cleared to secure the draw.

Tactical story: control versus counter-attack

Semendrija’s game was built on possession and patient buildup, with their full-backs pushing high to create overloads. That approach worked well in the first half, but it also left space for Proleter to exploit on the break. After the equalizer, Semendrija increased the tempo and committed more players forward, but Proleter’s compact defensive shape held firm.

Proleter 023 deserve credit for their second-half adaptation. They pressed more aggressively in midfield and found joy down the left, where their winger repeatedly isolated his marker. Their equalizer was the result of that improved width and a more direct attacking approach.

Standout performers

Jovanovic was Semendrija’s main threat, holding the ball up well and giving his team a focal point in attack. Markovic’s equalizer was the highlight of Proleter’s performance, while their goalkeeper produced a crucial late save to preserve the point. Both midfields worked hard in a match that became increasingly stretched in the final 20 minutes.

What the result means

A point apiece keeps both sides moving in the Serbian Mozzart Bet Prva Liga, though Semendrija may feel they left two points behind after controlling long spells. Proleter 023 will view the draw as a useful away result and evidence of their ability to respond after conceding. The result adds another tight chapter to a league where fine margins are already shaping the early-season table.
