Match overview

FK Graficar Beograd saw more of the ball for long periods, patiently building from the back and trying to find gaps in a compact Metalac defence. Metalac Gornji Milanovac were happy to defend in shape and look for opportunities on the counter, and their best moments came when they won the ball in midfield and attacked quickly.

The only goal of the game arrived in the second half, and it proved enough. After that, Metalac dropped deeper and defended their lead with concentration, while Graficar pushed more players forward in search of an equaliser. The visitors created a few half-chances, but the final touch was missing.

Tactical story

Metalac Gornji Milanovac set up with a clear plan: stay compact, protect the central areas and force Graficar to play around them rather than through them. Their defensive line held a good shape, and their midfield worked hard to track runners. The winning goal came from a set piece, underlining how important dead-ball situations can be in tight matches.

FK Graficar Beograd will be disappointed with their lack of penetration. They controlled possession but struggled to turn it into clear chances. Their crossing was often cleared, and when they did find space in the box, Metalac’s goalkeeper was alert. The visitors also left gaps at the back when chasing the game, though Metalac could not add a second goal.

Standout performers

Metalac’s goalkeeper was the standout player, making two important saves in the second half. Their central defender also produced a commanding display, winning headers and blocking shots. The goalscorer will take the headlines, but it was a collective defensive effort. For Graficar, the midfield playmaker tried to drive the team forward, while their left-back was industrious going forward, but neither could unlock the Metalac defence.

Standings and season impact

The 1-0 win gives Metalac Gornji Milanovac a valuable three points and another clean sheet, both of which will boost confidence in the Mozzart Bet Prva Liga. For FK Graficar Beograd, it is a frustrating away defeat, especially given their share of possession. In a tightly packed table, Metalac’s ability to win low-scoring matches could be important, while Graficar must find more creativity in the final third if they are to turn possession into points.
