Folgore/Falciano came from behind to earn a 2-1 away win against SP Libertas in the San Marino Campionato di Calcio on Sunday evening. A second-half turnaround sealed the three points and kept Folgore/Falciano in the thick of the early-season title conversation.

Match overview

SP Libertas started brightly and took the lead with a well-taken goal, but Folgore/Falciano gradually grew into the contest. The visitors equalised after the break and then found a winner in the closing stages, showing the kind of composure that separates the top teams in San Marino's domestic league.

Key moments

• 18th minute: SP Libertas opened the scoring after a quick move down the left. The cross was converted at the near post to give the hosts an early advantage.
• 52nd minute: Folgore/Falciano levelled with a neat finish from the edge of the box after a period of sustained pressure.
• 79th minute: The winner arrived from a set piece. A deep delivery was headed back across goal and turned in from close range.
• Late pressure: SP Libertas pushed forward in the final minutes, but Folgore/Falciano defended their box well and held on.

Tactical story

SP Libertas enjoyed a strong opening spell but struggled to maintain that intensity after the break. Folgore/Falciano adjusted their shape, pressed higher, and forced mistakes in the home side's build-up. The equaliser changed the momentum, and the visitors looked the more likely side to score again. Their winning goal came from a set piece, but it was the reward for a much-improved second-half display.

Standout performers

Folgore/Falciano's midfielder was central to the comeback, driving forward and linking play between the lines. The goalscorer who netted the equaliser showed great composure, while the defence recovered well after a shaky opening 20 minutes. SP Libertas will take encouragement from their first-half performance, but they will be disappointed to concede twice after taking the lead.

What it means for the table

The three points are significant in the Campionato di Calcio standings, where consistency is often the difference between a title challenge and a mid-table finish. Folgore/Falciano have shown they can win in different ways, including coming from behind away from home. For SP Libertas, the result is a reminder that matches in San Marino's top flight are often decided by small margins and set-piece moments.
