Murata 2-2 SP Domagnano: Late Penalty Completes Dramatic Comeback

Murata and SP Domagnano produced a dramatic 2-2 draw in the San Marino Campionato di Calcio on 24 October 2026, with Domagnano recovering from two goals down to claim a point. Matteo Bianchi and Andrea Rossi had put Murata in control, but Luca Conti pulled one back before Marco Fabbri converted a late penalty to level the match.

Murata made an excellent start and took the lead in the 12th minute when Bianchi finished confidently after a neat attacking move. They doubled their advantage early in the second half through Rossi, whose strike from the edge of the area gave the Domagnano goalkeeper little chance. At that stage, the home side looked on course for a comfortable victory.

Key Moments and Comeback

SP Domagnano responded with character rather than panic. They increased their pressing and began to create chances, and the breakthrough came in the 67th minute when Conti scored from inside the box. The visitors continued to push forward and were rewarded in the 89th minute when Fabbri kept his composure from the penalty spot to make it 2-2.

• 12th minute: Matteo Bianchi puts Murata ahead.
• 51st minute: Andrea Rossi doubles the lead.
• 67th minute: Luca Conti gives SP Domagnano hope.
• 89th minute: Marco Fabbri equalises from the penalty spot.

Tactical Story

Murata’s early control came from quick passing and good movement in the final third, but their failure to manage the game after taking a two-goal lead proved costly. Domagnano changed their approach after the break, pushing their midfield higher and delivering more crosses into the box. That pressure eventually told, and the late penalty completed a deserved comeback.

Standout Performers

Bianchi and Rossi were Murata’s main attacking threats, each taking their goal well. Conti’s energy and direct running changed the momentum for SP Domagnano, while Fabbri showed composure under pressure with the late equaliser. The Domagnano goalkeeper also made important saves to keep the comeback within reach.

Table and Season Impact

The draw feels like two points dropped for Murata and a point gained for SP Domagnano. In the San Marino Campionato di Calcio, such swings can matter by the end of the season. Murata will need to close out games more effectively, while Domagnano can take confidence from their resilience and late attacking intent.
