First Half: Antey Set the Tone

Almaz Antey began brightly, moving the ball quickly and stretching Krasnodar with runs from wide areas. The opener came from a well-rehearsed set piece, and the second followed soon after when a misplaced pass was intercepted and converted with a first-time finish. Krasnodar pulled one back before the break with a sharp counter-attack, giving themselves a foothold in a game that was threatening to slip away.

Key Moments

Any hopes of a Krasnodar comeback were dealt a blow early in the second half when Antey restored their two-goal cushion with a curling effort from the edge of the box. The visitors kept pushing and scored a second through a header from a corner, briefly raising the possibility of a turnaround. But Antey responded immediately, adding a fourth and then a fifth as Krasnodar's defence began to tire, sealing a convincing three points.

Tactical Story

Antey's high press was the foundation of the win. By forcing Krasnodar into rushed passes at the back, they created several scoring opportunities and kept the visitors pinned in their own half for long periods. Krasnodar looked most dangerous when they broke quickly through their wide forwards, but they struggled to sustain possession and were punished for a number of loose touches in midfield.

Standout Players

• Antey's striker: led the line superbly, scoring twice and linking play effectively.
• Antey's right winger: caused problems all game with direct running and precise crossing.
• Krasnodar's number ten: was the visitors' creative spark, setting up one goal and testing the goalkeeper.
• Antey's central midfielder: controlled the tempo and won back possession repeatedly.

What It Means for the Table

The emphatic win strengthens Almaz Antey Youth's position in the M-League standings and underlines their attacking potential. For FK Krasnodar Youth, the defeat highlights the need for greater defensive discipline, particularly when facing teams that press aggressively. Both teams will take lessons from a match that showcased the best and worst of youth football: fearless attacking, plenty of goals, and moments of defensive naivety.
