FC Irtysh Omsk 4-0 Dynamo Moscow B: Ruthless Irtysh Send Warning to RUS D3A Rivals

FC Irtysh Omsk produced a statement performance in the RUS D3A on September 27, 2026, sweeping aside Dynamo Moscow B 4-0 at their home ground. The scoreline flattered the visitors if anything, as Irtysh controlled the match from the first whistle and never allowed Dynamo’s young reserve side to settle into any rhythm.

The win strengthens Irtysh Omsk’s position in the upper reaches of the table and serves as a clear warning to the rest of the division. For Dynamo Moscow B, it was a chastening evening that exposed the gap between promising academy football and the physical, relentless demands of senior third-tier competition.

Match Overview

Irtysh lined up in an aggressive 4-2-3-1 shape, with the front four pressing Dynamo’s centre-backs at every opportunity. The visitors attempted to play out from the back, but the hosts’ coordination in the press was excellent. Time and again, Dynamo were forced into hurried passes or long clearances that came straight back at them.

The opening goal arrived in the 12th minute. A loose touch in midfield was pounced on by Irtysh’s captain, Egor Vorobyov, who drove forward and slipped a perfectly weighted pass into the path of Nikita Baranov. The winger took one touch to steady himself and fired low across the goalkeeper into the far corner.

Dynamo briefly threatened on the counter, with their number ten finding pockets of space between the lines, but Irtysh’s centre-back pairing of Kirill Sokolov and Artem Kuznetsov dealt with everything comfortably. The second goal came in the 34th minute, and it was a move of real quality: a quick one-two on the edge of the box ended with Baranov turning provider, squaring the ball for striker Dmitri Volkov to tap in from six yards.

Key Moments

• 12’ – Goal, Irtysh Omsk: Nikita Baranov finishes a rapid counter-attack after Egor Vorobyov’s interception.
• 34’ – Goal, Irtysh Omsk: Dmitri Volkov doubles the lead from close range after a slick exchange with Baranov.
• 58’ – Goal, Irtysh Omsk: A curling free-kick from Kirill Sokolov finds the top corner, leaving the Dynamo goalkeeper helpless.
• 77’ – Goal, Irtysh Omsk: Substitute Pavel Morozov adds a fourth, finishing a rebound after a save.
• 84’ – Chance, Dynamo Moscow B: The visitors’ best moment comes late, but a goal-line clearance preserves the clean sheet.

Tactical Story

The most striking aspect of Irtysh’s performance was their discipline without the ball. They did not simply press for the sake of it; they pressed in coordinated waves, cutting off passing lanes and forcing Dynamo into predictable long balls. When possession was won, Irtysh attacked with purpose, often needing only three or four passes to create a shooting opportunity.

Dynamo Moscow B, by contrast, looked like a team still finding its identity at this level. Their midfield struggled to track runners, and their defensive line was repeatedly exposed by Irtysh’s direct running. The visitors did keep the ball better in the final twenty minutes, but by then the game was long gone.

Standout Players

Nikita Baranov was the standout performer, contributing a goal and an assist and tormenting Dynamo’s right-back throughout. Egor Vorobyov controlled the tempo from midfield, while Kirill Sokolov’s set-piece delivery added another dimension. For Dynamo, goalkeeper Anton Lebedev made several fine saves to keep the score from reaching double figures, and midfielder Ilya Sorokin showed flashes of composure under pressure.

Season Impact

With this result, FC Irtysh Omsk move onto 52 points from 26 matches, keeping pace with the leading pack in RUS D3A. The manner of the victory—four goals, a clean sheet, and a commanding display from start to finish—will boost confidence ahead of a demanding run of fixtures. Dynamo Moscow B remain in the lower half of the table, and their young squad will need to learn quickly if they are to avoid being dragged into a relegation battle.

For Irtysh, the message is clear: on this form, they are a serious contender for promotion. The fans in Omsk will hope this performance is remembered as the night their season truly caught fire.
