Dynamo Kirov produced the decisive moment late in a pulsating RUS D3A contest at Dynamo Stadium, defeating Dinamo Vladivostok 3-2 on 18 October 2026. In a match that swung repeatedly, the visitors found the final goal in the closing stages to take all three points from a difficult away trip.

Match Overview

The game was open from the first whistle, with both sides willing to commit numbers forward. Dynamo Kirov struck first through a sharp counter-attack, but Dinamo Vladivostok responded well and enjoyed long spells of possession. The hosts equalised before half-time and then dragged themselves level again after the break, only for Kirov to land the final blow. The five-goal scoreline reflected the tempo of the contest: quick transitions, aggressive pressing and a series of defensive gaps on both sides.

Key Moments

• 14th minute: Dynamo Kirov took the lead when Kirill Sokolov finished a fast break with a low strike.
• 31st minute: Dinamo Vladivostok equalised through Maksim Orlov, who arrived late in the box to convert a cut-back.
• 52nd minute: Kirov restored their advantage as Dmitri Volkov headed home from a corner.
• 74th minute: Vladivostok responded again, Artyom Belov pouncing on a loose ball to make it 2-2.
• 88th minute: Sokolov grabbed his second of the match, racing clear before finishing calmly for the winner.

Tactical Story

Dinamo Vladivostok controlled much of the ball and tried to build through midfield, but their final pass too often arrived under pressure. Kirov were content to defend in a compact mid-block and attack the space behind the full-backs. That approach paid off, especially in the final 20 minutes, when Vladivostok pushed extra bodies forward in search of a winner and left themselves exposed. Kirov’s ability to turn defence into attack quickly was the difference in a match where both teams created clear chances.

Standout Players

Kirill Sokolov was the obvious match-winner for Dynamo Kirov, scoring twice and stretching the Vladivostok back line throughout. Dmitri Volkov’s set-piece threat and midfield energy were also important. For Dinamo Vladivostok, Maksim Orlov and Artyom Belov deserve credit for keeping the hosts in the game, while their goalkeeper made several strong saves before the late breakthrough.

Season Impact

The result gives Dynamo Kirov a valuable away win and strengthens their position in the RUS D3A standings. For Dinamo Vladivostok, it is a frustrating home defeat after a performance that produced two goals and plenty of attacking intent. The club will need to tighten up in transition if they are to turn similar performances into points during the remainder of the 2026 season.
