SSU Politehnica Timisoara II 1–0 FC Nera Bogodinti — SSU Politehnica Timisoara II secured a narrow 1–0 victory over FC Nera Bogodinti on 16 October 2026, taking maximum points in a Romanian Liga III fixture decided by a single goal.

Match Overview

Reserve sides in Liga III bring a distinctive flavour to the division — young, technical and eager to impress — and SSU Politehnica Timisoara II showed exactly those qualities in this 20:00 kick-off. Facing an experienced FC Nera Bogodinti side, the hosts controlled long stretches of the match with quick combinations and aggressive pressing. The only goal of the game arrived from that dominance, but the margin remained wafer-thin until the final whistle.

Key Moments

• Bright start: Timisoara II set the tone early, moving the ball quickly through midfield and forcing a series of defensive clearances from the visitors.
• The breakthrough: The deadlock was broken when the hosts converted their sustained pressure, finishing off a well-constructed attacking move.
• Bogodinti respond: The visitors regrouped and began to threaten from set pieces, with one header forcing a sharp save from the home goalkeeper.
• Game management: In the final twenty minutes Timisoara II defended their lead with maturity, keeping possession and limiting Bogodinti to speculative efforts from distance.

Tactical Story

Timisoara II's approach was built on speed of movement. Their midfielders rotated constantly, dragging Bogodinti's markers out of position and creating room for the full-backs to advance. That patient build-up produced the winning goal, and it also allowed the hosts to control the rhythm of the match even after taking the lead. Bogodinti, physically stronger and more direct, looked most dangerous when they could bypass midfield with long balls and crosses, and their best moments all came from those situations. Ultimately, though, they struggled to sustain pressure long enough to find an equaliser.

Standout Players

The goalscorer naturally takes the spotlight, but the standout performance came from Timisoara II's midfield unit, whose energy and composure allowed the team to dictate play for large periods. At the back, the centre-back partnership dealt calmly with the visitors' aerial threat, while the goalkeeper's second-half save preserved a valuable clean sheet. For FC Nera Bogodinti, the goalkeeper kept his side in the contest with a string of saves, and the team's set-piece delivery was their most effective attacking weapon.

Season Impact

For a reserve team, results in Liga III are measured not only in points but in the development of young players ready for senior football — and this performance delivered on both counts. The win gives SSU Politehnica Timisoara II a welcome boost as they build momentum through the campaign, while FC Nera Bogodinti are left to rue a night of limited chances and narrow margins. In a division where goals are often hard to come by, clean sheets like this one become the currency of a successful season.
