Pascani 1–2 ACS KSE Targu Secuiesc — ACS KSE Targu Secuiesc came from behind to win 2–1 away at Pascani on 16 October 2026, taking all three points in a Romanian Liga III fixture that swung on a strong second-half display from the visitors.

Match Overview

Liga III, the third tier of Romanian football, is a competition built on long away trips, tight grounds and fiercely contested local rivalries, and this 20:00 kick-off delivered exactly that kind of evening. Pascani began the brighter of the two sides, using the energy of their home crowd to press forward and create the first genuine chances of the match. Their reward arrived when they took the lead, and for a period it looked as though the hosts might control the contest.

Key Moments

• Pascani open the scoring: The home side's pressure paid off with the opening goal, converted after a sustained spell of possession in the attacking third.
• Immediate response: Targu Secuiesc reacted well, pushing their wingers higher and finding more space between Pascani's midfield and defence.
• The equaliser: The visitors levelled before the game drifted away from them, finishing neatly after a quick attacking transition.
• The winner: With momentum now firmly with the away side, Targu Secuiesc struck again in the second half to complete the turnaround.
• Late resistance: Pascani threw players forward in search of an equaliser, but the visitors defended their box resolutely through the closing minutes.

Tactical Story

The match was a classic example of a Liga III contest decided by adaptation. Pascani's early success came from attacking down the flanks and delivering early balls into the box, a plan that worked while their opponents sat deep. But Targu Secuiesc adjusted, tightening their defensive line and pushing their full-backs higher to stretch the home side. That change flipped the territorial battle: Pascani's midfield was pulled wide, gaps opened centrally, and the visitors' sharper finishing made the difference. Once ahead, Targu Secuiesc managed the game intelligently, slowing the tempo and forcing Pascani to chase, which left the hosts vulnerable on the break.

Standout Players

ACS KSE Targu Secuiesc's attacking players deserve the credit for turning the match around, with both goals coming from well-timed runs and composed finishing rather than luck. The visitors' midfield also grew into the game, winning the second balls that had initially gone Pascani's way. For the home side, the early goalscorer and the wide players were the brightest performers, but the team's defensive organisation after taking the lead let them down.

Season Impact

An away win of this nature is worth more than just three points in Liga III, where the campaign is long, travel is demanding and momentum matters enormously. Targu Secuiesc will take confidence from the character shown in coming from behind on the road, while Pascani are left to reflect on a match they led and let slip. In a division where the race for promotion places and the fight against relegation are often separated by only a handful of results, dropped home points can be costly — and Pascani will be eager to make amends quickly.
