ACSO Filiasi and CS Universitatea Craiova B played out an entertaining 2-2 draw on 22 September 2026, a result that will frustrate both sides for different reasons but which delivered genuine entertainment for the Liga III crowd in Dolj. Twice the visitors led, twice the hosts responded, and in the end a share of the points was a fair reflection of a balanced contest.

Match Overview

Regional pride was on the line in this Dolj derby, and the match lived up to its billing as one of the more open fixtures of the round. ACSO Filiasi, playing at home, were energetic and committed from the first whistle, pressing aggressively and looking to disrupt Craiova B's short-passing rhythm. The visitors, packed with young talent from one of Romania's most respected academies, were technically sharper but occasionally vulnerable to Filiasi's direct approach.

Four goals, two comebacks and a tense final ten minutes made this the kind of match that keeps supporters coming back. Neither defence will be entirely happy with the tape, but both attacks produced moments of real quality.

Key Moments

• Craiova B take the lead: The visitors struck first with a slick combination through the middle, finished low into the corner after a clever reverse pass.
• Filiasi equalise: The response was immediate and emphatic — a determined run into the box and a powerful finish brought the home crowd to life.
• Craiova B edge ahead again: Just before the break, the young visitors restored their advantage with a well-struck effort from the edge of the penalty area.
• Second equaliser: Filiasi levelled in the second half, capitalising on a scramble following a corner and forcing the ball over the line.
• Late drama: Both teams had chances to win it in the closing stages, with Craiova B striking the post and Filiasi clearing off the line in a frantic finale.

Tactical Story

Craiova B's approach was built around possession and patient build-up, with the young midfielders rotating positions and looking to create overloads in wide areas. When it worked, it was genuinely impressive — the first goal was a textbook example of academy football at its best, quick, precise and intelligent.

Filiasi, however, refused to be passive. Their pressing was front-foot and aggressive, and they targeted the space in behind Craiova B's advanced full-backs. Both of their goals came from moments of physical commitment and second-ball dominance, which is exactly the profile of team they are: hard-working, direct and difficult to play against on their own pitch.

Standout Performers

For CS Universitatea Craiova B, the creative midfielder pulling the strings was the most technically accomplished player on the pitch, dictating tempo and creating chances with intelligent passing. The young forward who scored the visitors' second goal also impressed with his movement and confidence in the final third.

ACSO Filiasi's captain led by example, driving the team forward during both comeback periods and refusing to let heads drop after conceding. His energy in the second half was a major reason the home side claimed a point from a match that could easily have slipped away.

What It Means in the Table

A draw keeps both teams moving but leaves each with a sense of what might have been. For Craiova B, dropping points after leading twice is a lesson in game management — a recurring theme for development sides learning the demands of senior Liga III football. For ACSO Filiasi, the resilience shown is encouraging, and their home form will again be the foundation of their season.

With the Liga III standings tightening as the autumn schedule progresses, results like this one could matter a great deal come spring. Both clubs will look back on the night knowing a single moment of concentration — at either end — would have changed everything.
