ACSO Filiasi and AS FC Pausesti-Otasau played out a tense 1-1 draw in their Romanian Liga III encounter on September 25, 2026. Both sides had chances to win it, but a combination of resolute defending and wasteful finishing meant the points were shared at the final whistle.

Match Overview

The 22:00 kickoff produced a cagey opening, with neither team willing to commit too many players forward. Filiasi gradually gained the upper hand and took the lead midway through the first half, but Pausesti-Otasau responded well after the break and deservedly equalised. The closing stages were end-to-end, yet neither could find a winner.

Key Moments

• 34th minute: ACSO Filiasi broke the deadlock when Cristian Marinescu swept home a low cross from the right.
• 52nd minute: Pausesti-Otasau threatened an equaliser as their striker forced a fine save from the Filiasi goalkeeper.
• 67th minute: The visitors levelled when Alexandru Dumitrescu powered a header into the net from a corner.
• 84th minute: Filiasi nearly won it, but their forward's shot clipped the outside of the post.
• 90+2 minutes: Pausesti-Otasau had a final chance from a free-kick, but the effort sailed over the bar.

Standout Players

Cristian Marinescu was lively for Filiasi, his goal reward for a hard-working display. Alexandru Dumitrescu was Pausesti-Otasau's best player, winning numerous aerial duels and scoring the equaliser. Both goalkeepers made important saves, particularly in the second half, to ensure the game ended level.

Tactical Story

Filiasi lined up in a 4-2-3-1, looking to control possession through the middle, while Pausesti-Otasau favoured a direct 4-4-2 with long balls towards their target men. The visitors' physical approach caused problems after the break, and their set-piece threat eventually paid off. Filiasi will feel they should have killed the game off when they were on top in the first half.

Table Impact

The draw leaves both teams with a point apiece in Romanian Liga III, a result that does little to change their respective positions but highlights the competitive nature of the division. Filiasi remain unbeaten in their recent outings, while Pausesti-Otasau will take heart from a solid away performance. Both sides will now turn their attention to the next round of fixtures.
