LPS HD Clinceni Power Past Oxigen Bucuresti in 3-1 Home Victory

ACS LPS HD Clinceni produced one of their most convincing attacking displays of the Romanian Liga III campaign on 16 October 2026, defeating Oxigen Bucuresti 3-1 in front of their home supporters. The 20:00 kick-off brought a performance full of purpose from the hosts, who combined sharp finishing with a control of tempo that Oxigen never fully disrupted.

The three-goal haul underlined Clinceni's growing reputation as one of the more enterprising sides in the division, while Oxigen Bucuresti were left to reflect on a night where defensive errors proved costly.

Match Overview

Clinceni started with intent and were rewarded early. Their pressing scheme forced Oxigen into turnovers in dangerous areas, and once the opening goal arrived, the home side's confidence visibly grew. Oxigen responded with a more direct approach after the break and got themselves back into the contest, but Clinceni's response was emphatic and immediate.

The hosts managed the closing stages professionally, slowing the game down where necessary and adding a late third goal that flattered them only slightly given the balance of chances across the ninety minutes.

Key Moments

• 12' – Clinceni open the scoring: Răzvan Ionescu arrived at the back post to convert a well-worked move down the right, setting the tone for the evening.
• 55' – Doubling the advantage: Vlad Dumitrescu struck from the edge of the area after a half-cleared corner, a goal that highlighted Clinceni's willingness to shoot from range.
• 63' – Oxigen pull one back: Alexandru Petre capitalised on a brief lapse in concentration, finishing calmly to make it 2-1 and briefly raise hopes of a comeback.
• 88' – The killer blow: Mario Stoica sealed the win on the counter-attack, racing clear and finishing low to make it 3-1.

Tactical Story

Clinceni's setup was built around quick ball circulation and aggressive counter-pressing, a combination that consistently won them possession in the middle third. The full-backs pushed high, stretching Oxigen's defensive line and creating space between the centre-backs and the wide channels.

Oxigen Bucuresti improved after the restart by committing more bodies forward and looking for second balls in the final third. Their goal was the reward for that adjustment, but the trade-off was vulnerability at the back, which Clinceni exploited ruthlessly in the closing minutes.

Standout Players

Răzvan Ionescu's early goal set the platform for the performance, while Vlad Dumitrescu dictated play from midfield and capped his display with a fine strike. Mario Stoica's late goal was the product of relentless running. For Oxigen, Alexandru Petre was the brightest spark, taking his goal well and remaining a threat even as the game slipped away.

Romanian Liga III Table Impact

Three points of this kind are worth more than the arithmetic suggests. Clinceni move into a healthier position in the Liga III standings, with their goal difference also receiving a valuable boost in a division where tiebreakers can decide promotion and relegation questions. Oxigen Bucuresti, meanwhile, will need to tighten up defensively if they are to convert competitive performances into results.

With the season still unfolding, Clinceni's home form looks increasingly like the foundation of their campaign. If they can maintain this level of attacking output, they will be a difficult opponent for anyone in the division.
