Lindab Stefanesti 1-4 CS Dinamo Bucuresti: Dinamo deliver away masterclass

CS Dinamo Bucuresti produced one of the standout performances of the Romanian Liga II weekend, beating Lindab Stefanesti 4-1 away on 17 October 2026. A clinical attacking display and a dominant second half turned a competitive fixture into a convincing victory, sending a clear message about Dinamo’s ambitions in the division.

Lindab Stefanesti started brightly and briefly troubled the visitors with their direct running, but Dinamo’s quality in the final third soon told. The opening goal arrived after a sharp move down the right, finished with a calm low strike. Lindab responded well and equalised before half-time, giving their home supporters hope of a competitive second period. That hope lasted only minutes after the restart, as Dinamo restored their lead and then pulled away with two further goals.

Match overview

Dinamo controlled the ball for long spells but were at their most dangerous in transition. Lindab’s equaliser came from a set-piece scramble, a reward for their persistence. After the break, however, Dinamo increased the intensity of their pressing and forced repeated errors in the home side’s build-up. The third goal was the turning point: a quick turnover in midfield led to a composed finish, and Lindab’s resistance visibly faded. A late fourth completed a ruthless away performance.

Key moments

• 12th minute: Dinamo took the lead with a low finish after a flowing move on the right.
• 34th minute: Lindab Stefanesti equalised from close range following a corner.
• 49th minute: Dinamo regained the lead with a first-time strike from the edge of the box.
• 68th minute: A high press forced a mistake, and Dinamo added a third on the counter.
• 82nd minute: Dinamo’s leading scorer sealed the win with a composed fourth goal.

Tactical story

Dinamo’s 4-2-3-1 shape allowed their attacking midfielders to drift into pockets between Lindab’s midfield and defence. The hosts struggled to track those runners, especially after half-time. Lindab’s plan was to defend deep and hit long diagonals, but once Dinamo scored their second, the home side had to push higher, which opened more space for the visitors’ quick forwards. Dinamo’s midfield won the second-ball battle and kept the game moving at a pace Lindab could not sustain.

Standout performers

Dinamo’s attacking midfielder was the game’s creative force, contributing a goal and an assist and constantly finding space between the lines. The centre-forward’s movement dragged defenders out of position and created room for runners from deep. For Lindab, the goalkeeper made several saves to keep the score respectable, while their captain tried to drive the team forward from midfield. Ultimately, the difference was Dinamo’s finishing and their ability to sustain pressure for long periods.

League impact

The three points strengthen CS Dinamo Bucuresti’s position in the Liga II standings and underline their credentials as a side capable of scoring heavily away from home. For Lindab Stefanesti, the defeat is a reminder of the step up in quality required against the division’s stronger teams. Dinamo’s goal difference receives a significant boost, which could matter in a tight promotion race, while Lindab must regroup quickly before their next fixture.
