Both sides started cautiously, aware of the importance of points in the reserve league standings. Al Wakrah drew first blood midway through the first half, capitalizing on a defensive lapse from Al-Arabi. A swift pass split the defense, and the Al Wakrah striker slotted home coolly to make it 1-0.

Key Moments and Tactical Battle

Al-Arabi Doha U23 responded well to going behind. They equalized just before halftime with a well-placed shot from the edge of the box, sending the teams into the break level at 1-1. The second half was a tense affair, with both midfielders battling for control. Al Wakrah's tactical discipline shone through as they tightened their shape and looked to hit on the counter.

The winning goal came in the 68th minute. A corner kick was only partially cleared, and Al Wakrah's center-back volleyed the ball powerfully into the net from close range. Al-Arabi pushed for another equalizer but found Al Wakrah's defense resolute. The home side held on for a deserved victory.

Standout Performers

Al Wakrah U23's goalscorers were the heroes, but their defensive unit as a whole performed admirably under pressure. The holding midfielder broke up play effectively and provided cover for the backline. For Al-Arabi Doha U23, their attacking midfielder was a constant threat with his dribbling, but a lack of finishing touch in the final third let them down.
