Real Sport Clube Queluz (W) delivered a statement performance in the Portuguese Women’s Segunda Liga, thrashing Vitoria Setubal Women 7-0 on 17 October 2026. The hosts were ruthless from the first whistle and never allowed their opponents to settle, turning the match into a one-sided affair.

Match overview

Queluz dominated possession and territory from the opening minutes, creating chances at a rapid rate. They were three goals up by half-time and continued to pile forward after the break. Vitoria Setubal, overwhelmed by the intensity, struggled to keep the ball and were punished repeatedly for defensive lapses.

The second half brought more of the same. Queluz’s movement and quick passing cut through the visiting defence, and the scoreline continued to grow. A clean sheet added to the satisfaction of a convincing victory.

Key moments

The opener arrived early and set the tone. Two more goals before half-time effectively ended the contest. Queluz added further goals at regular intervals after the restart, with the pick of the bunch coming from a flowing team move that ended with a composed finish. The seventh goal in the closing stages completed the rout.

Tactical story

Queluz pressed high and forced Vitoria Setubal into mistakes in their own half. Their wide overloads created constant problems, and the midfield trio controlled the tempo. Setubal tried to defend deeper after conceding early, but the sheer volume of attacks proved impossible to withstand.

Standout performers

Queluz’s centre-forward led the line superbly and completed a hat-trick, while the attacking midfielders combined well throughout. The home goalkeeper was rarely tested but stayed focused to preserve the clean sheet. For Vitoria Setubal, it was a difficult afternoon, though their goalkeeper made several saves to prevent an even heavier defeat.

Season impact

The emphatic win gives Real Sport Clube Queluz (W) a major boost in the Portuguese Women’s Segunda Liga standings and a healthy advantage in goal difference. Vitoria Setubal Women will need to regroup quickly, with defensive organisation and ball retention likely to be central themes in training.
