Juventude de Évora produced a dominant 3-0 home victory over Aljustrelense in the Portuguese Campeonato Nacional on 11 October 2026, with a ruthless first-half display laying the foundation for a comfortable win.

Match Overview

Juventude de Évora were in complete control from the first minute, pressing high and moving the ball quickly to overwhelm an Aljustrelense side that struggled to cope with the intensity. Two goals in the opening 25 minutes effectively settled the contest, and a third early in the second half completed a thoroughly professional performance. Aljustrelense never truly threatened a comeback and were fortunate to avoid a heavier defeat.

Key Moments

The deadlock was broken in the 12th minute when Juventude de Évora’s winger cut inside from the left and unleashed a curling shot into the far corner. The home side doubled their lead in the 24th minute after a slick one-two on the edge of the box released the striker, who finished calmly past the goalkeeper. Aljustrelense’s best chance came on the stroke of half-time, but a free-kick was tipped over the bar.

Any hopes of an Aljustrelense revival were extinguished in the 49th minute. A corner from the right was met by a powerful header from the centre-back, who rose highest to make it 3-0. Juventude de Évora managed the game expertly from that point, keeping possession and limiting their opponents to speculative efforts from distance.

Tactical Story

Juventude de Évora set up in a fluid 4-2-3-1 that became a 4-3-3 in possession, with full-backs pushing high to pin Aljustrelense back. Their pressing was aggressive and well-coordinated, forcing numerous turnovers in the final third. Aljustrelense attempted to play out from the back but were repeatedly caught on the ball, and their defensive line struggled to handle the pace of the home side’s attackers. The midfield battle was one-sided, with Juventude de Évora winning the majority of second balls.

Standout Players

• Juventude de Évora winger: Opened the scoring with a fine individual effort and tormented the right-back all game.
• Juventude de Évora centre-back: Scored the third goal and was dominant defensively, winning every aerial duel.
• Juventude de Évora striker: Held the ball up effectively and linked play intelligently throughout.

Season Impact

The three points strengthen Juventude de Évora’s position in the upper reaches of the Campeonato Nacional standings, and the clean sheet will be particularly pleasing for the coaching staff. For Aljustrelense, the heavy defeat leaves them with plenty to work on, especially defensively and in their build-up play. The result serves as a warning to the rest of the division that Juventude de Évora are a force to be reckoned with on home soil.
