Atlético Malveira 3-1 AD Fazendense: Home Side Power to Convincing Win

Atlético Malveira produced a strong home performance to defeat AD Fazendense 3-1 in the Campeonato Nacional on Sunday night. The hosts were sharper in the attacking third, created the better chances and managed the game well after taking control in the second half.

Fazendense had their moments, especially from set-pieces, but they could not contain Malveira’s wide play and were ultimately beaten by a team with more urgency and better finishing.

Match Overview

Atlético Malveira started brightly and took the lead in the 12th minute with a well-worked goal down the left. Fazendense responded positively and equalised midway through the first half, converting from a corner after a scramble in the box. The game remained finely balanced until Malveira regained the lead just before half-time.

The second half was more controlled by the home side. Malveira defended deeper when needed, frustrated Fazendense and then added a third goal on the counter-attack in the 76th minute. The visitors pushed late, but Malveira’s goalkeeper was alert to keep the two-goal cushion intact.

Key Moments

• 12th minute: Atlético Malveira open the scoring with a low finish from a cut-back.
• 31st minute: AD Fazendense equalise from a corner, bundling the ball home.
• 44th minute: Malveira restore their lead with a header from a cross.
• 76th minute: A fast break ends with a composed finish to make it 3-1.
• 89th minute: Fazendense force a save from the Malveira goalkeeper with a dipping effort.

Tactical Story

Atlético Malveira focused their attacks down the flanks, using overlapping runs to stretch Fazendense’s defence. Their midfielders were quick to switch play, and the front players attacked the box with purpose. The home side also pressed intelligently, forcing turnovers in areas where they could immediately threaten.

Fazendense looked most dangerous from dead balls and long throws, and their equaliser came from exactly that route. However, they struggled to create clear chances in open play. When they committed bodies forward late on, Malveira exploited the space with a well-executed counter-attack.

Standout Performers

Malveira’s right winger was a constant outlet, delivering dangerous crosses and scoring the opening goal. The central striker held the ball up well and brought others into play, while the goalkeeper made a crucial late save. For Fazendense, the centre-back was resolute for long periods, but the team’s attacking support was too often lacking.

Campeonato Nacional Impact

Atlético Malveira collect three important points and strengthen their position in the table, while AD Fazendense are left to reflect on an away performance that promised more than it delivered. The win gives Malveira confidence ahead of a difficult run of fixtures and highlights their potential as a strong home side.
