Pogon Szczecin Women produced an emphatic Poland Women's Cup performance on 26 October 2026, defeating Polonia Środa Wielkopolska B (W) 8-1. The visitors controlled the tie from early on and never allowed the reserve side to settle.

Pogon make an early statement

Pogon Szczecin Women came out with intent, pressing high and moving the ball quickly in the attacking third. Polonia Środa Wielkopolska B (W) found it difficult to keep possession, and Pogon took advantage by scoring early and then adding to their lead at regular intervals.

The difference in quality was clear as Pogon’s midfield dominated the central areas. Their wide players stretched the Polonia defence, while the forwards made intelligent runs in behind. By the time the first half progressed, the visitors had already built a commanding advantage.

Relentless attacking display

Pogon Szczecin Women continued to attack after the break, refusing to ease off despite their lead. They scored from open play and set pieces, showing variety in their attacking approach. Polonia’s defence was overwhelmed by the speed of Pogon’s passing and the movement of their forward line.

The hosts did manage a consolation goal, which was a positive moment in an otherwise difficult evening. However, Pogon responded quickly and restored their dominance, adding further goals to complete an 8-1 victory.

Standout performers and cup impact

The standout feature of Pogon’s performance was the spread of attacking threats. Their midfielders created chances, the wide players delivered dangerous crosses and the forwards finished with confidence. It was a complete team display that underlined their ambitions in the Poland Women's Cup.

Polonia Środa Wielkopolska B (W) will take valuable experience from the match, but the result highlights the gap between the reserve side and a strong senior opponent. The focus for the hosts will be on regrouping and learning from the defensive lapses.

What comes next

The result moves Pogon Szczecin Women forward in the Poland Women's Cup with momentum and a strong goal difference. They will be a side to watch in the next round. For Polonia Środa Wielkopolska B (W), the challenge is to respond positively in their next fixture and use the cup tie as a development step.
