Slask Wroclaw Youth 1-2 Wisla Krakow Youth — Wisla Krakow Youth edged a competitive Mloda Ekstraklasa contest 2-1 away to Slask Wroclaw Youth on Saturday evening. The visitors struck early, absorbed pressure after Slask equalised, and found a late winner to take all three points from a match that swung back and forth.

Match overview

Wisla started with intensity and were rewarded inside the opening quarter of the game, pressing Slask into a mistake and converting the resulting chance. Slask responded well, gradually imposing themselves through possession and creating several half-chances before the break. The equaliser arrived after the interval and briefly looked like it might shift the momentum entirely toward the home side.

Instead, Wisla regrouped, defended with greater compactness and found a decisive moment late in the game. Slask pushed numbers forward in search of a winner of their own, but the visitors exploited the space left behind and secured a valuable away victory.

Key moments

• 18th minute: Wisla took the lead after a high press forced a turnover, with the resulting shot beating the goalkeeper at the near post.
• 55th minute: Slask equalised through a well-timed run into the box and a calm finish after sustained possession.
• 84th minute: Wisla regained the lead on the counter-attack, finishing clinically after Slask committed players forward.
• 90th minute: Slask sent a late header wide as the home side pushed for a second equaliser.

Tactical story

Slask controlled more of the ball, especially in the second half, but Wisla’s compact defensive structure made it difficult for them to find clean openings. The visitors were happy to concede possession in less dangerous areas and then attack quickly through the wide channels. That approach paid off twice, with both goals coming from moments when Slask were stretched.

Slask’s best spells came when their midfielders played closer together and switched the ball quickly. However, their final pass was inconsistent, and Wisla’s goalkeeper dealt well with the crosses that came his way. The away side’s game management in the final ten minutes was particularly impressive.

Standout performers

Wisla’s attacking midfielder was at the heart of most of their best moves, linking play and driving forward with purpose. The scorer of the late winner showed composure under pressure, while the centre-backs made several important clearances. For Slask, the equaliser was created by their most inventive midfielder, and the young goalkeeper made a string of saves to keep the home side in contention.

What the result means

The win gives Wisla Krakow Youth a significant boost in the Mloda Ekstraklasa standings and underlines their ability to win away from home against direct rivals. Slask Wroclaw Youth will be frustrated to have taken only one point from a game in which they had spells of control, but the performance showed plenty of promise. Both sides now turn their attention to the next round of fixtures, with Wisla looking to build momentum and Slask aiming to turn possession into more decisive moments.
