Key moments

Gornik’s response was immediate. In the 67th minute, Bartosz Nowak pulled one back with a low strike from the edge of the box, and the home side suddenly found renewed energy. The equaliser arrived in the 85th minute when Szymon Zieliński headed home a deep cross. Miedz pushed for a late winner, but Gornik’s defence held firm through stoppage time to complete the comeback.

Tactical story

Miedz’s early success came from pressing Gornik’s deep midfield and attacking the space behind the full-backs. Their two-goal lead was built on efficient finishing rather than sustained possession. Gornik changed the momentum by pushing their wingers higher and committing more bodies into the box. That increased risk, but it also gave Miedz’s defence far more to deal with in the final 25 minutes.

Standout players

Nowak was the catalyst for Gornik’s revival, driving forward with purpose and taking his goal well. Zieliński’s late header capped a strong second-half cameo, while Wójcik and Kowal were Miedz’s most effective attacking players. Both goalkeepers made important saves in a match that could easily have produced more goals.

What the result means

Gornik Zabrze Youth will take real confidence from their ability to fight back from two goals down, a trait that can be valuable in a youth league defined by momentum swings. Miedz Legnica Youth, however, will view the draw as a missed opportunity after controlling large parts of the game. The point keeps both sides competitive in the Mloda Ekstraklasa table, but the lessons from this match will matter as much as the result.
