Tactical Story

Zatoka Braniewo lined up in a 4-4-2 and tried to use the width of their wingers to stretch Ostroda. However, Ostroda's midfield diamond, anchored by captain Piotr Nowicki, disrupted Braniewo's rhythm and allowed them to counter quickly. Ostroda's direct approach, often looking for the runs of Jankowski, proved effective. Braniewo's defense struggled with Ostroda's movement in the final third, and their inability to clear a late corner led to the decisive goal.

Standout Players

Mateusz Jankowski was the standout for Sokol Ostroda with two well-taken goals, while Adrian Kaczmarek made an impact off the bench with the winner. For Zatoka Braniewo, Kamil Wójcik and Tomasz Lis were the bright spots, but defensive lapses cost them dear. Goalkeeper Lukasz Mazur made a few important saves but could not keep out the late winner.

Season Impact

The three points lift Sokol Ostroda into a more comfortable position in the Poland Liga 3 table, keeping their hopes of a promotion push alive. Zatoka Braniewo remain in mid-table but will be frustrated at dropping points at home. The loss highlights the need for late-game concentration, and manager Jan Kowalski will be working on defensive organization in the coming weeks. Ostroda's next match will be a test of their momentum.
