Widzew Lodz II and LKS Lomza share the spoils in 2-2 thriller

Widzew Lodz II and LKS Lomza played out an entertaining 2-2 draw in Poland Liga 3 on October 25, 2026, with the reserve side’s energy matched by Lomza’s resilience in a match that swung both ways. Widzew Lodz II twice held the lead, but LKS Lomza responded on each occasion to earn a valuable away point.

The game was a useful reminder of the competitive depth in Poland Liga 3. Widzew Lodz II, fielding a youthful and energetic lineup, looked dangerous going forward, while LKS Lomza relied on experience, compact defending and quick transitions. The four-goal scoreline reflected the openness of the contest, especially after the interval.

Match overview

Widzew Lodz II started brightly and used the width of the pitch to stretch LKS Lomza’s back line. The home side’s midfield pressed aggressively and forced several turnovers in promising areas. That pressure eventually paid off with the opening goal, which gave Widzew Lodz II a deserved advantage.

LKS Lomza responded well rather than collapsing. The visitors began to find space in behind the Widzew midfield and equalised before the break. The second half followed a similar pattern: Widzew Lodz II regained the lead with a well-worked move, only for LKS Lomza to hit back and secure a draw.

Key moments

• Widzew’s opener: The home side’s early pressing forced a mistake, and a quick attacking sequence produced the first goal of the night.
• Lomza’s response: LKS Lomza grew into the game and found an equaliser with a move that exposed space on the counter.
• Second Widzew lead: After the restart, Widzew Lodz II restored its advantage with a sharper passage of play in the final third.
• Late equaliser: LKS Lomza pushed forward in search of a response and got its reward, ensuring the points were shared.

Tactical story

Widzew Lodz II’s approach was built on intensity. The reserve side pressed high, tried to win the ball back quickly and looked to attack before LKS Lomza could set its defensive block. That strategy created chances, but it also left space for Lomza to exploit when the first press was bypassed.

LKS Lomza were more measured. The visitors defended in a compact shape, invited pressure at times and then looked to release runners into the channels. Their equalisers came from patience as much as penetration, and their ability to respond after conceding was the foundation of the result.

Standout performers

Widzew Lodz II’s attacking players caused problems throughout with movement and direct running, while the midfield unit worked hard to sustain the press. For LKS Lomza, the defensive line showed composure under pressure, and the forwards made the most of the space that appeared when Widzew pushed forward.

League impact

The draw adds a point to both clubs’ Poland Liga 3 totals. Widzew Lodz II will be pleased with the attacking display but disappointed not to hold on for victory, while LKS Lomza will view the comeback as evidence of its fighting spirit. In a competitive league table, points earned in tightly balanced matches like this can prove important later in the season.
