Szombierki Bytom 1-4 LKS Drama Zbroslawic: Clinical Drama Secure Statement Away Win

LKS Drama Zbroslawic produced one of the most convincing away performances of the Poland Liga 3 weekend, defeating Szombierki Bytom 4-1 on Sunday evening.

Szombierki Bytom, a club with a proud historical identity, were expected to make home advantage count. Instead, LKS Drama Zbroslawic took control early, pressed with intelligence, and punished defensive mistakes with ruthless efficiency. The visitors led 2-0 at half-time, absorbed a brief Szombierki revival after the break, and then pulled away again in the final 20 minutes.

LKS Drama Zbroslawic started the brighter of the two sides and opened the scoring in the 12th minute. Szombierki Bytom gave themselves hope in the 58th minute. Patryk Wójcik reacted first to a loose ball inside the area and reduced the deficit to 2-1, lifting the home crowd. Key moments

• 12th minute – LKS Drama lead: Adrian Kowalczyk finished a fast break with a low shot after a midfield turnover.
• 34th minute – Drama double the advantage: Sebastian Nowak found space at the edge of the box and curled the ball beyond the goalkeeper.
• 58th minute – Szombierki pull one back: Patryk Wójcik pounced on a loose ball inside the area to make it 2-1.

Tactical story

LKS Drama Zbroslawic’s game plan was built on aggressive pressing and rapid transitions. They did not allow Szombierki’s midfielders time on the ball, and whenever they won possession, they looked to attack immediately. That directness created a series of clear chances, and their finishing was clinical throughout the evening.

Szombierki Bytom’s problems were twofold. First, they were too easily played through in central areas. Second, when they did build attacks, they lacked enough support around the striker. The home side’s brief resurgence after the 58th-minute goal showed what they are capable of, but the defensive lapses that followed were punished without mercy.

Standout players

Adrian Kowalczyk was the obvious standout, scoring twice and constantly troubling the Szombierki back line with his movement. Sebastian Nowak controlled the tempo in midfield and added a goal of his own. For Szombierki, Patryk Wójcik was the brightest performer, taking his goal well and working tirelessly even as the game slipped away.

Table impact and what’s next

This 4-1 victory gives LKS Drama Zbroslawic a significant boost in the Liga 3 standings and strengthens their reputation as a dangerous away side. For Szombierki Bytom, the defeat is a setback that will raise questions about defensive organisation and consistency. Both teams will now prepare for their next fixtures with very different moods, but the result is a reminder that in this division, teams who finish their chances can quickly turn tight contests into commanding wins.
