Stargard Szczecinski 5-0 KKS 1925 Kalisz — Poland Liga 3 served up one of its most one-sided scorelines of the season on the evening of 3 October 2026, as the hosts produced a ruthless, five-goal performance in front of their own supporters. A brace from Kacper Wójcik, a dominant second-half spell and a defensive display that barely allowed a shot on target turned a competitive-looking fixture into a rout long before the final whistle.

Match overview

The visitors from Kalisz arrived with the intention of sitting compact, defending the middle third and springing forward on the counter. For the opening twenty minutes that plan looked workable. KKS 1925 kept their shape, doubled up on the flanks and forced Stargard to circulate the ball sideways rather than through them.

Once the first goal arrived, though, the structure cracked. Stargard's midfield pushed higher, the full-backs began overlapping with real aggression, and Kalisz were pinned into their own half for the remaining seventy minutes. Five goals, and a clean sheet, reflects the balance of play accurately.

How the five goals were scored

• 1-0 — A short corner routine caught Kalisz napping, and Kacper Wójcik arrived at the near post to flick the ball past the goalkeeper.
• 2-0 — Michał Zieliński punished a loose back-pass, rounded the keeper and rolled into an empty net.
• 3-0 — Straight after the restart, Adam Nowak headed home a deep cross from the right to effectively settle the contest.
• 4-0 — Wójcik added his second with a low, first-time strike from the edge of the penalty area after patient build-up play.
• 5-0 — Substitute Damian Lewandowski completed the scoring in the closing stages, finishing a quick counter-attack with the Kalisz defence stretched.

Tactical story

The decisive battleground was central midfield. Stargard played with a single holding player and two advanced runners, which allowed them to attack the space either side of the Kalisz defensive screen. Whenever Kalisz won the ball, they had no outlet: the wide players were isolated, the striker was outnumbered, and possession was recycled straight back to the home side.

Stargard's pressing was also disciplined rather than frantic. Instead of chasing every pass, they closed passing lanes and invited the long ball, then won the second ball through their physically dominant centre-backs. It is a template that has served them well at home all season, and Kalisz had no answer to it.

Standout performers

Kacper Wójcik was the obvious headline act with two goals and constant movement between the lines. Adam Nowak controlled the tempo from deep and delivered the set-piece that opened the scoring, while the goalkeeper's quiet but important early save at 0-0 kept the game from taking a different direction.

For KKS 1925 Kalisz, there were few positives beyond the resilience of their young left-back, who continued to compete despite being repeatedly exposed. The coaching staff will be looking at their defensive line and their reaction to conceding the opening goal, because both broke down badly here.

What it means for the Liga 3 table

A five-goal win is worth more than three points in a division where goal difference so often decides promotion races and relegation battles. Stargard Szczecinski strengthen their position in the upper half of the table, add substantially to their goals-scored column, and send a clear message to the teams around them.

Kalisz, meanwhile, leave with a heavy defeat that will affect confidence as much as the standings. Their next fixture becomes a significant one — a chance to reset, tighten the defensive block, and prove that this was an isolated evening rather than a warning sign.
