Polonia Lidzbark started with purpose, pressing high and forcing LKS Lodz II into early mistakes. The home side’s wide players were heavily involved, stretching the defence and delivering dangerous crosses. LKS Lodz II tried to play out from the back, but they were often hurried and unable to sustain possession in advanced areas.

Key moments

Polonia took the lead in the 12th minute when a quick move down the left ended with a low cross that was converted from close range. The second goal arrived in the 39th minute after a well-timed run from midfield split the defence, allowing the home side to double their advantage before the break.

The third goal came in the 68th minute, effectively ending any hope of a comeback. A misplaced pass in the LKS Lodz II midfield was intercepted, and Polonia broke forward before finishing with composure. From there, the hosts managed the game professionally, keeping possession and limiting their opponents to hopeful efforts from distance.

Tactical story

Polonia Lidzbark’s pressing structure was key. They closed down the LKS Lodz II midfield quickly and forced turnovers in dangerous areas. When they won the ball, they attacked with numbers, using the width of the pitch to create crossing opportunities and pull defenders out of position.

LKS Lodz II had spells of possession but lacked penetration. Their build-up was too slow at times, allowing Polonia to recover into shape. Defensively, the visitors struggled to deal with runners from midfield, which proved costly for both the first and second goals.

Standout performers and table impact

Polonia Lidzbark’s centre-forward was central to the win, scoring twice and leading the line with intelligence. The midfield also impressed with their energy and pressing, while the defence remained composed to secure the clean sheet.

The three points strengthen Polonia Lidzbark’s position in the Liga 3 table and give them confidence heading into their next fixture. For LKS Lodz II, the defeat is a setback that will require a response, particularly in defensive organisation and ball retention. Polonia’s comfortable victory underlined their ability to turn home advantage into a decisive result.
