MKS Notec Czarnkow and KS Polonia Sroda Wlkp played out a 0-0 draw in the Polish Liga 3 on September 19, 2026, in a match defined by defensive discipline and missed chances. Neither side could find a breakthrough, leaving both to settle for a point in a competitive third-tier encounter.

Match Overview

Polish Liga 3 is a demanding third-tier competition where organization and work rate often outweigh flair. MKS Notec Czarnkow hosted KS Polonia Sroda Wlkp in a game that was expected to be tight, and it lived up to that billing. Both teams were well organized, pressing in midfield and denying space between the lines.

The first half produced limited chances. Notec had the best opportunity with a free-kick that struck the crossbar, while Polonia grew into the game and tested the goalkeeper from long range. The second half was more open, with both sides creating half-chances, but excellent goalkeeping and last-ditch defending kept the score at 0-0.

Key Moments

• 22nd minute: MKS Notec Czarnkow strike the crossbar from a free-kick.
• 41st minute: KS Polonia Sroda Wlkp force a diving save with a long-range effort.
• 67th minute: Notec’s striker is denied one-on-one by the Polonia goalkeeper.
• 84th minute: Polonia head over from a corner with the goal at their mercy.

Tactical Story

Both teams set up cautiously. Notec used a 4-4-2, while Polonia employed a 4-2-3-1. The midfield battle was intense, with neither side able to sustain possession for long periods. Notec tried to use their wingers to stretch Polonia, but the visitors’ full-backs defended well. Polonia pressed intelligently, forcing Notec into sideways passes, but they struggled to create clear openings themselves.

Substitutions on both sides added energy but did not change the scoreline. Notec pushed more bodies forward late on, but Polonia’s centre-backs held firm. The draw was a fair result, reflecting the defensive strengths of both teams and the lack of a clinical finisher on the night.

Standout Players

Both goalkeepers were excellent, each making important saves to keep their team in the match. Notec’s centre-back was a commanding presence, winning headers and reading danger well. Polonia’s defensive midfielder broke up play effectively and started counter-attacks, while Notec’s winger caused problems with his pace and direct running.

Season Impact

The point leaves both teams in mid-table in Polish Liga 3, with Notec maintaining their solid home record and Polonia showing away resilience. In a league where the margins between promotion pushes and mid-table finishes are slim, this draw could be viewed as a missed opportunity for both sides. However, the defensive discipline on display suggests they will remain difficult to beat in the coming weeks.
