Tactical Story

Lechia's defensive approach was understandable given the attacking threat of Legia's young prospects, but it invited pressure. Legia's 4-3-3 overloaded the flanks, with both full-backs pushing high to create 2v1 situations. The opening goal came from a central overload, as a midfielder found space between the lines to play the killer pass.

Once Legia scored, Lechia had to come out, which only created more space for the visitors. The second goal from a set-piece was a reward for their dominance. Legia's manager will be pleased with the patience shown by his young side, who kept probing without frustration.
