KSS Kotwica Kórnik 1–3 Grom Nowy Staw — Grom Nowy Staw delivered one of their most complete away displays of the Poland Liga 3 season on Saturday, 26 September 2026, defeating KSS Kotwica Kórnik 3–1 at the Stadion Miejski in Kórnik.

A ruthless away performance under the lights

The visitors struck early and never looked back, controlling the tempo of the match and punishing Kotwica with three well-taken goals. Grom’s midfield pressed high, forced turnovers in dangerous areas, and turned those moments into clear chances. Kotwica, backed by a vocal home crowd of around 450 spectators, briefly threatened a comeback after the hour mark, but the visitors restored their two-goal cushion and closed out the game with composure.

Key moments

• 12' — 0–1: Kacper Zieliński opened the scoring with a low drive from the edge of the box after a short corner was worked back to him.
• 54' — 0–2: Bartosz Lewandowski doubled the lead, finishing a quick counterattack with a first-time strike past the advancing goalkeeper.
• 65' — 1–2: Adam Nowak gave Kotwica hope from the penalty spot after a foul on the edge of the area.
• 78' — 1–3: Michał Duda sealed the win, rising highest at the far post to head in a deep cross.

Tactical story

Grom Nowy Staw lined up in a compact 4–2–3–1 shape that allowed them to press Kotwica’s deep-lying midfielders without leaving gaps at the back. The home side tried to build through the middle, but the visitors’ disciplined defensive block forced them wide, where crosses were comfortably dealt with. In possession, Grom were direct and efficient: they needed only six shots on target to score three goals, a statistic that underlined their cutting edge.

Kotwica’s best spell came immediately after the interval, when they pushed their full-backs higher and created two half-chances before Lewandowski’s goal against the run of play. The penalty gave the home crowd renewed energy, but Grom’s response was immediate and professional. The third goal arrived from a set-piece routine that Kotwica failed to defend, and from that point the result was never in doubt.

Standout performers

Kacper Zieliński was the game’s most influential player, not only for his opening goal but for his constant movement between the lines. Bartosz Lewandowski’s pace on the break gave Kotwica trouble all evening, while Michał Duda’s aerial presence in both boxes was a major asset. For Kotwica, Adam Nowak was the bright spark, winning and converting the penalty, but he lacked support in the final third.

What the result means

The three points lift Grom Nowy Staw into a more comfortable position in the Poland Liga 3 table and extend their strong away record. For KSS Kotwica Kórnik, the defeat is a setback in their efforts to climb away from the lower half of the standings. The home side will need to tighten up defensively, particularly from set-pieces, if they are to turn narrow losses into positive results in the coming weeks.
