KKS 1925 Kalisz and KS Polonia Sroda Wlkp shared the spoils in a 0-0 draw in Poland Liga 3 on 24 October 2026, with two well-organised defences cancelling each other out in a tense, closely fought contest. Neither side found the breakthrough, but the point keeps both teams in the thick of the promotion picture.

Match overview

The match was a classic midfield battle. Kalisz tried to build through the centre, while Polonia Sroda Wlkp sat compact and looked to spring forward on the counter. Space was at a premium for much of the evening, and the best chances came from set pieces and long-range efforts. As the game wore on, both sides pushed a little more, but the goalkeepers remained largely untroubled.

Key moments

• 21st minute: Kalisz’s centre-back headed over from a free-kick after a flick-on at the near post.
• 36th minute: Polonia’s forward created a shooting chance on the edge of the box, but his effort was saved.
• 64th minute: A Kalisz free-kick crashed into the wall and was cleared away.
• 81st minute: Polonia broke quickly down the left, but the final shot was straight at the goalkeeper.
• 90+3rd minute: Kalisz won a late corner, but Polonia’s defence headed clear to secure the draw.

Tactical story

Both teams prioritised defensive solidity. Kalisz held a higher line and tried to pin Polonia back, but their passing in the final third lacked the precision needed to unlock a deep block. Polonia were happy to defend in numbers and attack through quick transitions, although their final ball often let them down. The midfield area was fiercely contested, with neither side able to establish lasting control.

Standout performers

Kalisz’s goalkeeper was alert when called upon, while their central defenders dealt well with crosses and second balls. For Polonia, the holding midfielder was outstanding, breaking up play and starting counter-attacks. Both captains led by example in a match that demanded patience and discipline.

Season impact

The draw adds a point to both clubs’ tallies in Poland Liga 3 and keeps them within reach of the leading places. Kalisz may feel they had enough territory to win, while Polonia will be pleased with a clean sheet away from home. With the promotion race so tight, every point matters, and both sides will be eager to turn draws into victories in their next fixtures.
