Flota Świnoujście 0–2 Unia Swarzędz — Unia Swarzędz left the Baltic coast with a deserved 2–0 victory over Flota Świnoujście in Poland Liga 3 on Saturday, 26 September 2026, thanks to a first-half opener and a second-half clincher from Szymon Kaczmarek.

Match overview

Played at the Stadion Miejski in Świnoujście in front of a crowd of around 520, the match pitted Flota’s possession-based approach against Unia’s quick transitions. The visitors were sharper from the first whistle, pressing Flota’s centre-backs and forcing several early turnovers. Flota saw plenty of the ball but struggled to create clear openings, and Unia’s defensive organisation frustrated them throughout the 90 minutes.

Kaczmarek double decides the contest

Szymon Kaczmarek opened the scoring in the 23rd minute with a composed finish after being played through by a clever reverse pass. Flota’s goalkeeper got a hand to the ball but could not keep it out. The home side responded with a spell of pressure before half-time, but Unia’s back four held firm, blocking two goal-bound efforts and clearing a dangerous corner.

The decisive moment arrived in the 71st minute. Kaczmarek latched onto a loose ball just outside the area, shifted it onto his left foot and curled a precise shot into the far corner. It was a goal of real quality, and it took the wind out of Flota’s sails. The hosts pushed forward late in search of a consolation, but Unia managed the closing stages intelligently, slowing the tempo and keeping the ball in the corners.

Key statistics and tactical notes

• Possession: Flota Świnoujście 58% – 42% Unia Swarzędz
• Shots on target: Flota 3 – 5 Unia
• Corners: Flota 7 – 3 Unia

Flota’s high line was repeatedly exposed by Unia’s direct running, especially in the channels. The home side’s midfield struggled to track runners, and their full-backs were often caught too far forward. Unia, by contrast, defended in a deep, narrow block and attacked with purpose whenever they won the ball back.

Standout players

Szymon Kaczmarek was the obvious man of the match, his two goals showcasing both his movement and his finishing. Unia’s captain, Tomasz Wierzbicki, was excellent at the base of midfield, breaking up play and starting counterattacks. For Flota, winger Michał Ostrowski was the most persistent threat, beating his marker several times but finding no one on the end of his crosses.

Season impact

Unia Swarzędz move up the Poland Liga 3 standings with a valuable away win that strengthens their push for a top-half finish. Flota Świnoujście remain in need of consistency, particularly at home, where they have now dropped points again. The coastal club will look to improve their defensive shape before the next round of fixtures, while Unia will take confidence from a disciplined and clinical road performance.
