Czarni Połaniec Edge AKS Busko-Zdrój 2-1 in Liga 3 Clash

Czarni Połaniec claimed an important 2-1 victory over AKS Busko-Zdrój in Poland’s Liga 3 on 24 October 2026. A late winner settled a competitive contest at the Stadion Miejski in Połaniec, giving the home side all three points after a spirited performance from both teams.

The match had the intensity of a local rivalry, with midfield battles, quick transitions, and several moments of real quality in the final third. Czarni Połaniec controlled the first half, but AKS Busko-Zdrój responded strongly after the break before the home side found the decisive goal in the closing stages.

Match Overview

Czarni Połaniec started with energy and purpose, pressing high and forcing AKS into mistakes at the back. Their efforts were rewarded in the 18th minute when Mateusz Nowak fired them into the lead after a neat exchange on the edge of the penalty area. The home side continued to look the more dangerous team for much of the first half, using width to stretch the AKS defence.

AKS Busko-Zdrój improved after half-time and found an equaliser in the 54th minute through Bartosz Kowalski, whose looping header beat the goalkeeper. The visitors then enjoyed their best spell of the match, pressing for a second goal and forcing Czarni deep into their own half.

Just as the game looked to be heading towards a draw, Czarni Połaniec found a late breakthrough. Substitute Kamil Zieliński arrived in the box in the 82nd minute and converted a low cross to restore the home side’s lead. The goal sparked wild celebrations and left AKS with too little time to respond.

• 54th minute: Bartosz Kowalski equalises for AKS Busko-Zdrój with a well-placed header.
• 71st minute: AKS forces a fine save from the Czarni goalkeeper during their best attacking spell.

Tactical Story

Czarni Połaniec’s approach was direct and aggressive. Their full-backs pushed forward to create overloads in wide areas, and the midfield worked hard to win second balls. The home side’s pressing disrupted AKS’s rhythm in the first half, and their early goal allowed them to play with greater confidence.

AKS Busko-Zdrój adjusted after the interval, pressing higher and committing more players forward. The equaliser came from that improved spell, but the visitors were eventually caught out as Czarni found space in the wide channel for the winning goal. The match highlighted the fine margins in Liga 3, where concentration over the full 90 minutes is essential.

Standout Players

Mateusz Nowak was a constant threat for Czarni Połaniec, linking play and opening the scoring with a calm finish. Kamil Zieliński made the decisive contribution from the bench, while the home goalkeeper produced a crucial save at 1-1. For AKS Busko-Zdrój, Bartosz Kowalski’s equaliser and all-round work rate stood out, and the goalkeeper kept the visitors in the contest with several important stops.

Season Impact

The win gives Czarni Połaniec three valuable points in what is always a tightly contested Liga 3 campaign. Home victories against direct rivals can shape the season, and the manner of this result — recovering after conceding an equaliser — will boost confidence in the dressing room. The team’s attacking width and willingness to press will be key assets in the weeks ahead.

AKS Busko-Zdrój will be disappointed to leave empty-handed after a much-improved second-half display. The performance showed that they can compete with strong opposition, but late concentration errors proved costly. Both sides now turn their attention to the next round of fixtures, with Czarni Połaniec looking to build momentum and AKS determined to bounce back quickly.
