Carina Gubin 1–3 GKP Gorzów — Damian Wojciechowski scored a superb hat-trick as GKP Gorzów defeated Carina Gubin 3–1 in Poland Liga 3 on Saturday, 26 September 2026, condemning the hosts to a fourth home defeat of the campaign.

Wojciechowski runs the show

From the opening minutes, GKP Gorzów looked the more dangerous side. Wojciechowski opened the scoring in the 9th minute, latching onto a through ball and slotting calmly past the goalkeeper. Carina tried to respond, but their build-up play was slow and predictable, allowing Gorzów to regroup and counter. The visitors doubled their lead in the 44th minute, and Wojciechowski completed his hat-trick in the 61st with a powerful header from a corner.

Carina Gubin did manage a consolation goal in the 88th minute through Piotr Mazur, who finished neatly after a goalmouth scramble. By then, however, the result was long settled. The home crowd of around 350 had little to cheer about, and the final whistle was greeted with frustration from the stands.

Key moments

• 9' — 0–1: Damian Wojciechowski finishes a fast break with a low shot into the bottom corner.
• 44' — 0–2: Wojciechowski doubles his tally, turning sharply in the box and firing home.
• 61' — 0–3: Wojciechowski completes his hat-trick with a towering header from a right-wing corner.
• 88' — 1–3: Piotr Mazur pulls one back for Carina after a scramble in the six-yard box.

Tactical story

GKP Gorzów set up in a 4–3–3 that allowed their front three to press Carina’s defenders aggressively. The hosts tried to play out from the back, but Gorzów’s midfield trio cut off the passing lanes to the central players, forcing long balls that were easily dealt with. In transition, Gorzów were lethal: Wojciechowski’s pace and intelligent runs repeatedly stretched the Carina back line.

Carina’s manager made two changes at half-time, switching to a back three in an attempt to gain more control in midfield. The adjustment briefly helped them see more of the ball, but it also left them exposed at the back, and Gorzów punished them with the third goal. Carina’s consolation was well-taken, but it was merely a footnote on a difficult evening.

Standout performers

Damian Wojciechowski was unplayable at times, his hat-trick a mix of clinical finishing and intelligent positioning. Gorzów’s midfield anchor, Krystian Baran, controlled the tempo and won possession back on numerous occasions. For Carina, Piotr Mazur took his goal well and never stopped running, but he was isolated for much of the match.

What the result means

GKP Gorzów climb the Poland Liga 3 table with an emphatic away win that underlines their promotion ambitions. Carina Gubin remain in the lower reaches of the standings and face a crucial run of fixtures in October. The club will need to address its defensive vulnerability and find a way to support its lone striker if it is to avoid a relegation battle.
