Tactical Story

Atletico Andahuaylas lined up in a fluid 4-3-3, with the front three rotating constantly to pull apart the Defensores Del Ilucan defence. Their midfield trio controlled the tempo, winning second balls and recycling possession quickly. The full-backs pushed high, pinning the visitors back and creating overloads in wide areas.

Defensores Del Ilucan, by contrast, sat deep in a 4-4-2 and struggled to transition when they won the ball. Their front two were isolated, and the gap between midfield and attack allowed Andahuaylas to dominate the middle third. Once the hosts scored twice before half-time, the game was effectively over as a contest.

Standout Players

Milagros Quispe was the undisputed player of the match, scoring twice and leading the line with intelligence and movement. Rosa Huaman controlled the midfield and capped her performance with a well-taken goal. Defender Carmen Rojas was rock-solid at the back, reading the game well and snuffing out any hint of a comeback.

For Defensores Del Ilucan, goalkeeper Luz Martinez made several saves to keep the scoreline respectable, while captain Ana Torres tried to drive her team forward from midfield but received little support.

What It Means

The win strengthens Atletico Andahuaylas's position in the PER Liga Femenina table and extends their strong home record. For Defensores Del Ilucan, it is a setback that highlights the gap between them and the division's top sides. With the season progressing, Andahuaylas will be eyeing a title push, while Ilucan must regroup quickly to stay in the hunt for a playoff place.
