Fixture: Viking Women vs FK Fyllingsdalen Women
Date and time: Saturday, 19 September 2026, 19:00 local time
Final score: Viking Women 6-0 FK Fyllingsdalen Women

Viking Women set the tone early and never allowed Fyllingsdalen to settle. By the time the first half reached its closing stages, the contest already felt decided. The second half became an exercise in game management and further goal difference building for Viking, while Fyllingsdalen were left to focus on damage limitation.

Key Moments

• Viking Women opened the scoring in the early exchanges, immediately forcing Fyllingsdalen onto the back foot.
• A second goal before the break gave the home side a commanding half-time advantage and drained confidence from the visitors.
• Viking added further goals after the interval, maintaining their tempo instead of easing off.
• The clean sheet completed a near-perfect evening, with Fyllingsdalen unable to find a consolation goal despite a few late attempts to break forward.

Tactical Story

Viking Women's approach was built on high pressing and quick ball recovery. They won possession in advanced areas, moved the ball wide to stretch Fyllingsdalen's defensive block, and attacked the penalty area with numbers. The midfield controlled the rhythm of the match, ensuring the visitors had very little time on the ball.

Fyllingsdalen attempted to sit deeper and absorb pressure, but the constant waves of Viking attacks made that plan difficult to sustain. Once the first goals went in, the away side had to push higher, which only created more space for Viking to exploit. The 6-0 scoreline reflected the difference in finishing, territory and confidence.

Standout Performances

Viking's forward line was relentless, combining sharp movement with composed finishing. The wide players consistently beat their markers, while the central midfielders dictated play and protected the back line. Defensively, Viking were disciplined throughout, limiting Fyllingsdalen to very few clear chances and securing a well-earned clean sheet.

Season Impact

The three points strengthen Viking Women's position in the Norwegian Women's 1. Divisjon table and provide a significant boost to their goal difference. In a league where promotion and playoff places can be decided by fine margins, a 6-0 win is valuable beyond the immediate result. For FK Fyllingsdalen Women, the focus will be on regrouping quickly and improving their defensive shape ahead of the next round.

Viking Women's 6-0 victory will be remembered as one of their most complete performances of the season, and it sends a clear message to the rest of the division.
