Start Kristiansand Women delivered a convincing 4-0 home win over FK Fyllingsdalen Women in the Norwegian Women’s 1.Divisjon on 24 October 2026, scoring twice in each half to claim all three points in emphatic fashion. The hosts controlled possession, pressed with purpose and converted their best chances, while Fyllingsdalen struggled to contain runners from midfield.

Match overview

Start Kristiansand set the tone early, pushing their full-backs high and asking their midfielders to occupy the half-spaces. Fyllingsdalen initially defended in a deep block, but the constant circulation of the ball stretched their shape. The opening goal came after a sustained spell of pressure, and once Start added a second before half-time, the visitors were forced to open up after the break. That only created more space for the home side, who added two more goals in the second half.

Fyllingsdalen had brief moments on the counterattack but rarely tested the Start goalkeeper. The away side’s best chances came from set pieces, though they lacked the precision to pull a goal back. Start managed the closing stages comfortably, keeping a clean sheet and protecting their energy for the rest of the campaign.

Key moments

• 14th minute: Start Kristiansand took the lead after a neat exchange on the edge of the box opened space for a low finish.
• 39th minute: A second goal arrived from a wide attack, with the cross converted at the back post.
• 57th minute: Start made it 3-0 early in the second half, punishing Fyllingsdalen after a loose pass in midfield.
• 78th minute: The scoring was completed with a close-range finish after sustained pressure around the penalty area.

Tactical story

Start’s midfield dominated the second balls, allowing them to sustain attacks and pin Fyllingsdalen back. Their wide players repeatedly isolated the visiting full-backs, while the central striker’s movement created room for late runners. Fyllingsdalen tried to defend narrowly, but that left them exposed to switches of play. When they did win possession, they were often forced backwards by Start’s counter-press.

Standout performers

Start’s midfield unit was excellent, combining energy with composure in possession. The wide forwards caused constant problems, and the centre-back pairing dealt comfortably with Fyllingsdalen’s limited threat. The away goalkeeper made several saves to prevent an even heavier defeat, while Fyllingsdalen’s midfielders worked hard but were overrun for long spells.

Season impact

The result gives Start Kristiansand Women a significant boost in the Norwegian Women’s 1.Divisjon standings, especially with the four-goal swing in goal difference. For FK Fyllingsdalen Women, the priority now is to regroup defensively and find a way to stay compact for longer periods, particularly away from home.
