Grei Women edged FK Fyllingsdalen Women 1-0 in a tightly contested Norwegian Women's 1.Divisjon fixture played on 27 September 2026, a result that underlines just how fine the margins can be in Norway's second tier of women's football.

Match Overview

The game at Fyllingsdalen's home ground kicked off at 18:30 and quickly settled into the pattern that would define the evening: plenty of possession in midfield, few clear-cut chances, and a single decisive moment separating the two sides. Grei Women managed the game intelligently after taking their opportunity, while the hosts were left to rue a lack of cutting edge in the final third.

For FK Fyllingsdalen Women, it was a frustrating night. The Bergen-based club has long been a competitive presence in the divisjon, and playing at home they would have expected to take something from the match. Instead, they were undone by one lapse and could not find the equaliser despite pressing forward in the closing stages.

Key Moments

• The decisive goal: Grei Women broke the deadlock in a move that cut through the Fyllingsdalen midfield, and the finish was clinical enough to leave the goalkeeper with no chance.
• Hosts push forward: After conceding, Fyllingsdalen increased the tempo, shifting more players into attacking positions and forcing Grei onto the back foot.
• Defensive resilience: Grei's back line held firm through the final minutes, clearing crosses and blocking shots to protect the clean sheet.

Tactical Story

Grei Women set up with a compact defensive shape, happy to concede possession in less dangerous areas and look for transitions. That approach worked perfectly once they went ahead, because it forced Fyllingsdalen to commit bodies forward and left space in behind. The visitors' discipline off the ball was the standout feature of the performance.

Fyllingsdalen, by contrast, dominated territory without ever quite turning it into genuine danger. Their wing play created a number of deliveries into the box, but the Grei centre-backs dealt with the aerial threat well and the home side's shooting from distance rarely troubled the goalkeeper.

Standings Impact

Three points away from home is a valuable currency in the 1.Divisjon, and this win gives Grei Women momentum as the season moves through its autumn phase. For FK Fyllingsdalen Women, the defeat is a reminder that in a division where most teams are evenly matched, home fixtures are the ones you cannot afford to let slip.

What's Next

Both clubs will return to league action looking to build or bounce back. Fyllingsdalen will focus on converting possession into goals, while Grei will aim to carry their defensive solidity into the next round of fixtures. On this evidence, the away side's ability to grind out narrow wins could prove decisive in the final standings.
