Match Overview

In a game short on clear‑cut chances, Notteroy/Husoy Foynland showed tactical maturity to edge past a stubborn Larvik Turn side. The home team pushed hard for an equaliser after the break but found the visiting defensive line well‑organised and determined.

Key Moments

• 19th minute: The only goal of the match came when Notteroy/Husoy Foynland’s midfielder Simen Aasen rose highest to meet a corner and headed the ball past the Larvik Turn keeper.
• 67th minute: Larvik Turn’s best chance fell to striker Kristian Mo, whose shot from an acute angle was saved by the feet of goalkeeper Mathias Bredesen.
• 83rd minute: A scramble inside the box saw Larvik Turn appeal for a handball, but the referee waved play on.

Tactical Story

Notteroy/Husoy Foynland set up in a compact 4‑4‑2 and were happy to concede possession – they finished with only 38% of the ball. Their deep defensive block frustrated Larvik Turn, who dominated territory but lacked the creativity to break through. The winning goal came from a set‑piece, a well‑rehearsed routine that caught the home defence napping.

Standout Players

Simen Aasen (Notteroy/Husoy Foynland) scored the decisive goal and worked tirelessly in midfield, breaking up play and distributing simply. Goalkeeper Mathias Bredesen made two excellent saves – including the crucial stop from Mo – to preserve his clean sheet. Larvik Turn’s captain Andreas Lund was a rock in defence but could not inspire the attacking line.

Table & Season Impact

Notteroy/Husoy Foynland climbed to 7th place with the win, while Larvik Turn U19 dropped to 9th. The result highlighted Larvik’s ongoing difficulty in front of goal – they have scored only five goals in eight matches, the second‑lowest total in the league. For Notteroy/Husoy Foynland, this win provided a much‑needed boost after a run of three games without victory.
