Varegg 4-3 Forde: Seven-Goal Thriller Ends in Home Celebration

Varegg beat Forde 4-3 in a pulsating Norwegian 3.Divisjon match on 24 October 2026, with a late goal settling a contest that had already produced six goals and several swings in momentum.

The home side started brightly in the 21:00 kickoff and were rewarded for their early pressure with the opening goal in the 12th minute. Varegg’s attacking midfielders found space between the lines, and their quick combination play caused Forde problems from the very first whistle.

Match overview

Varegg doubled their lead in the 34th minute after another sharp move down the left, but Forde responded strongly before half-time. A goal in the 41st minute gave the visitors hope, and they carried that momentum into the second half, equalising in the 52nd minute after a period of sustained pressure.

The match then swung back in Varegg’s favour when they restored their lead in the 67th minute, only for Forde to level again in the 79th minute. With the game seemingly heading for a draw, Varegg found one final attacking moment in the 88th minute and scored the winner to spark celebrations around the ground.

It was a breathless contest in which both defences struggled to contain the opposing forward lines. Forde will be disappointed to have conceded four times despite scoring three, while Varegg will take great satisfaction from the character shown in the closing stages.

Tactical story

Varegg pressed high and tried to force mistakes in Forde’s build-up, while Forde looked most dangerous when they played direct and attacked the space behind Varegg’s advanced full-backs. The game became a trade-off between Varegg’s control in possession and Forde’s speed on the counterattack.

In the end, Varegg’s willingness to keep committing players forward paid off. Their midfield kept finding ways to support the attack, and the late winner came from exactly the kind of sustained pressure they had produced throughout the match.

Standout performers

Varegg’s attacking midfielder was at the heart of most of their best moves, creating chances and driving forward whenever space opened up. Forde’s centre-forward also impressed with a tireless performance, holding the ball up well and scoring in a game where the visitors refused to go away quietly.

Season impact

The three points could prove significant in the Norwegian 3.Divisjon promotion race. Varegg showed both attacking quality and resilience, while Forde will take encouragement from their fighting spirit but will rue the defensive lapses that allowed the hosts to score four times. The result adds another memorable chapter to what is already a closely contested season.
