Tromsdalen 2-3 Eidsvold Turn: Late Winner Settles Five-Goal Thriller in Norwegian 2. Divisjon

Eidsvold Turn claimed a dramatic 3-2 victory at Tromsdalen on Sunday night, winning a five-goal Norwegian 2. Divisjon contest that swung one way and then the other. A late finish settled the match after Tromsdalen had fought back from two goals down to level the score at 2-2.

The result was a test of character for both sides. Eidsvold Turn showed attacking quality and composure in the closing stages, while Tromsdalen were left to rue a slow start that ultimately cost them a share of the points.

Match Overview

Eidsvold Turn made the brighter start and took the lead inside the opening ten minutes. A quick break down the right ended with a low cross that was converted from close range. The visitors doubled their advantage midway through the first half when Henrik Løken beat the goalkeeper with a precise finish after a turnover in midfield.

Tromsdalen responded before the interval, pulling one back through Ole Kristian Dahl’s header from a corner. The home side carried that momentum into the second half and equalised just after the hour mark when Marius Brekke finished off a flowing move. With the game seemingly heading for a draw, Eidsvold Turn struck again in the 84th minute through Sander Aas to seal the win.

Key Moments

• 9th minute: Eidsvold Turn take an early lead after a fast break down the right.
• 27th minute: Henrik Løken doubles the away side’s advantage with a composed finish.
• 41st minute: Ole Kristian Dahl heads Tromsdalen back into the contest.
• 63rd minute: Marius Brekke levels the score at 2-2 after a slick passing sequence.
• 84th minute: Sander Aas scores the late winner for Eidsvold Turn.

Tactical Story

Tromsdalen controlled much of the possession, especially after half-time, but Eidsvold Turn’s compact defensive block and quick counter-attacks proved decisive. The visitors were happy to concede territory and hit the home side in transition, a plan that worked perfectly in the first half and again for the winning goal.

Tromsdalen’s full-backs pushed high in search of an equaliser, leaving space behind them. Eidsvold Turn exploited that space in the closing minutes, breaking with numbers before Aas delivered the decisive finish.

Standout Performers

Henrik Løken was central to Eidsvold Turn’s attacking play, scoring one goal and stretching the Tromsdalen defence throughout. Sander Aas made the difference from the bench with the late winner, while the away side’s goalkeeper produced a crucial save at 2-2 to keep the score level before the final goal.

For Tromsdalen, Ole Kristian Dahl and Marius Brekke were the brightest performers, but their fightback was not enough to secure a point.

Season Impact

Eidsvold Turn’s victory gives them valuable momentum in the Norwegian 2. Divisjon promotion race. Tromsdalen remain in contention, but dropping points at home after fighting back to 2-2 will feel like a missed opportunity. Both teams now turn their attention to the next round, with little room for error as the season enters its decisive phase.
