Strindheim IL 10-0 Molde B: Hosts Produce a Norwegian 3. Divisjon Masterclass

Strindheim IL delivered one of the most emphatic performances of the Norwegian 3. Divisjon season, thrashing Molde B 10-0 on Saturday, September 26, 2026. The home side were relentless from the first whistle, scoring at regular intervals and never allowing Molde B to settle into any kind of rhythm.

By the time the full-time whistle arrived, Strindheim had recorded a double-digit victory that will boost their goal difference significantly and send a clear message to their rivals in the promotion race. Molde B, a young reserve side, endured a difficult evening against a physically stronger and more clinical opponent.

Match Overview

Strindheim set the tone almost immediately, pressing high and forcing Molde B into hurried clearances. The first goal arrived early and opened the floodgates. Once the home side found their rhythm, the match became a procession. Molde B tried to play out from the back, but Strindheim’s aggressive counter-pressing repeatedly won the ball in dangerous areas.

The scoreline was already comfortable by half-time, and Strindheim showed no signs of slowing down after the break. Their substitutes added fresh energy, and the goals continued to flow as Molde B’s defensive shape unravelled.

How the Goals Came

• Early opener: Strindheim took the lead inside the opening 10 minutes with a sharp finish from close range.
• Quick double: Two more goals followed before the 25th minute as Molde B struggled to cope with the high press.
• Half-time cushion: A fourth and fifth goal before the break effectively ended the contest.
• Second-half avalanche: Strindheim added five more after the interval, including a hat-trick from their leading forward.
• Late finish: The tenth goal arrived in the closing stages, capping a ruthless team performance.

Tactical Story

Strindheim’s dominance was built on intensity. They won the midfield battle early, moved the ball quickly into wide areas, and attacked the box with numbers. Molde B’s young defence was pulled out of position repeatedly, and the home side’s forwards were only too happy to exploit the gaps.

The most striking aspect of the performance was Strindheim’s efficiency. They did not simply dominate possession; they turned almost every meaningful attack into a goalscoring opportunity. Molde B, by contrast, could not keep the ball long enough to relieve pressure, and their occasional counter-attacks were snuffed out before they could develop.

Standout Players

Strindheim’s centre-forward was the obvious star of the show, leading the line with a hat-trick and linking play intelligently. The attacking midfielders also impressed, consistently finding space between the lines and creating chances. For Molde B, it was a night to forget, though their goalkeeper made several saves to prevent the score from becoming even more lopsided.

Season Impact

A 10-0 win is more than just three points. It is a statement of intent, a massive boost to goal difference, and a psychological blow to rival clubs. Strindheim IL will hope this result ignites a strong run in the final weeks of the Norwegian 3. Divisjon season. Molde B, meanwhile, must regroup quickly and ensure the heavy defeat does not damage their confidence for the matches ahead.
