Tromsdalen produced a devastating attacking display to thrash Skeid Oslo 6-0 in the Norwegian 2. Divisjon on Sunday 20 September 2026. The visitors scored three goals in each half at Skeid’s home ground, completely overwhelming their opponents in a match that will be remembered for its ruthless efficiency. The result sends a powerful message to the rest of the division, while Skeid Oslo are left with serious questions to answer after a defensive collapse of the highest order.

Match overview

Tromsdalen signalled their intent from the very first whistle, pressing high and forcing Skeid into a series of early errors. The opening goal arrived in the 7th minute when a slick one-two on the edge of the box released the striker, who finished low into the bottom corner. Skeid barely had time to regroup before Tromsdalen doubled their lead in the 19th minute, again exploiting space down the right flank. The third goal came in the 34th minute after a corner was only half-cleared, and the midfielder rifled the ball home from 20 yards. At 3-0 down at half-time, Skeid were shell-shocked. The second half was more of the same: Tromsdalen added a fourth in the 52nd minute, a fifth in the 68th, and a sixth in the 81st, with Skeid’s defence completely unable to cope with the visitors’ movement and speed.

Key moments

• 7’ – Tromsdalen goal: A quick exchange of passes opened up the defence, and the finish was clinical.
• 19’ – Tromsdalen goal: Another flowing move down the right ended with a tap-in at the back post.
• 34’ – Tromsdalen goal: A half-cleared corner was smashed in from the edge of the area.
• 52’ – Tromsdalen goal: A counter-attack from a Skeid corner saw Tromsdalen score their fourth.
• 68’ – Tromsdalen goal: A free-kick was whipped into the box and headed home unmarked.
• 81’ – Tromsdalen goal: The sixth goal was a solo effort, with the winger cutting inside and curling into the top corner.

Tactical story

Tromsdalen’s 4-3-3 formation was perfectly suited to exploiting Skeid’s narrow defensive shape. The visitors constantly switched play from side to side, dragging Skeid’s midfield out of position and creating overloads in wide areas. Skeid’s back four looked disorganised and lacked communication, and they were repeatedly caught out by Tromsdalen’s runners from deep. The most damning statistic was that Tromsdalen scored six goals from just eight shots on target, highlighting their incredible finishing and Skeid’s goalkeeping woes. Skeid’s manager tried to change things at half-time, switching to a back five, but it only invited more pressure, and Tromsdalen happily picked them apart.

Standout players

Tromsdalen’s centre-forward was unplayable, scoring a hat-trick and providing an assist. His hold-up play and movement in the box were simply too much for Skeid’s defenders. The Tromsdalen right winger also had a superb game, scoring twice and tormenting his marker throughout. For Skeid Oslo, it was a night to forget for the entire defence, though their goalkeeper made two fine saves to prevent an even heavier defeat. The Skeid captain tried to rally his troops, but the team’s confidence visibly drained after the second goal.

Season impact

This 6-0 win is Tromsdalen’s biggest victory of the season and significantly boosts their goal difference in the Norwegian 2. Divisjon. They move up to second place in the table, firmly in the hunt for promotion. Skeid Oslo, meanwhile, drop to 12th and are now without a clean sheet in eight matches. The head-to-head record between these clubs now reads heavily in Tromsdalen’s favour, and Skeid will need a remarkable turnaround to avoid a similar result in the reverse fixture. For Tromsdalen, this performance will be remembered as a statement of intent.
