Ready Edge Konnerud 3-2 in Five-Goal Thriller

Ready held off a determined Konnerud comeback to claim a 3-2 victory in the Norwegian 3. Divisjon on 24 October 2026. The home side built a two-goal lead, survived a spirited response and found a late winner in a match that kept supporters on edge until the final whistle.

Ready started brightly and looked capable of taking control early. Their movement in wide areas caused Konnerud problems, and two goals in the opening phase gave them a deserved advantage. However, Konnerud responded with character, pulling one back before half-time and equalizing after the break to set up a tense finish.

Match Overview

The contest was a classic example of a game changing momentum. Ready’s fast start put them in command, but Konnerud’s response showed why they are a dangerous opponent. After equalizing, Konnerud had a spell of pressure and looked the more likely side to score next. Instead, Ready regained their composure, found a decisive third goal and defended with enough determination to see out the win.

Both teams contributed to an entertaining match. Ready’s attacking play was sharp and purposeful, while Konnerud’s persistence and willingness to fight back made the second half particularly compelling. In the end, the difference was Ready’s ability to produce a decisive moment when the game was balanced on a knife-edge.

Key Moments

• Fast Ready start: Ready opened the scoring early with a well-worked attacking move that exposed space in the Konnerud defense.
• Two-goal cushion: The home side added a second goal soon after, taking advantage of another quick transition.
• Konnerud responds: Konnerud pulled one back before the interval, giving themselves hope and changing the mood of the match.
• Equalizer after the break: Konnerud continued to press and found an equalizing goal, setting up a dramatic final phase.
• Ready’s late winner: Ready regained the lead with a crucial goal, then defended resolutely to secure the 3-2 victory.

Tactical Story

Ready’s early success came from attacking quickly and using the width of the pitch. Their wide players stretched Konnerud’s defensive line, creating gaps for midfield runners and allowing Ready to get into dangerous areas. The home side’s pressing also forced turnovers, and their first two goals came from moments when Konnerud was unable to clear the danger.

Konnerud’s response was impressive. They adjusted their shape, began winning more second balls and pushed more players forward in support of the attack. That bravery brought them back into the game, but it also left space behind, which Ready eventually exploited for the winning goal. The final stages required concentration and composure from the home defense, and Ready delivered when it mattered.

Standout Performers

Ready’s attacking players were central to the win. The wide forwards caused constant problems with their pace and direct running, while the central striker held the ball up well and brought teammates into play. In midfield, Ready’s driving runs and ability to recover possession helped the team survive Konnerud’s best spell.

Konnerud deserved credit for their fightback. Their midfielder dictated play during the second-half comeback, and their forward took his goal confidently. The visiting defense struggled with Ready’s early intensity, and that slow start ultimately proved costly in a game decided by fine margins.

Season Impact

The 3-2 win is a valuable result for Ready in the Norwegian 3. Divisjon, giving them three points and a confidence boost from a high-scoring contest. Showing the ability to win after surrendering a two-goal lead is a positive sign for the squad’s resilience. Konnerud can take encouragement from their comeback but will be frustrated to leave empty-handed after working their way back into the match. Both sides will know that tighter game management could be decisive as the season progresses.
