• 44th minute: Kasper Haugen equalises for Notodden FK before half-time.

Tactical story

Eik-Tonsberg controlled the middle of the pitch with quick combination play and smart rotations, often pulling Notodden's midfield out of position. Their first goal came from a wide overload, and their second arrived after a central overload created space on the edge of the area. Notodden's equaliser was a reward for their pressing, but they struggled to sustain that intensity after the interval.

Defensively, Eik-Tonsberg dropped into a compact block once they regained the lead, forcing Notodden to play in front of them. The hosts had possession but lacked penetration, and the visitors' third goal on the counter-attack reflected the pattern of the second half. It was a mature away display built on discipline, timing, and clinical finishing.

Standout players

Markus Pedersen was influential for Eik-Tonsberg, linking midfield and attack and scoring the crucial second goal. Sondre Larsen opened the scoring and caused problems with his movement, while Fredrik Nilsen capped the win with a well-taken late goal. For Notodden FK, Kasper Haugen was the brightest spark, but the home side could not turn their spells of pressure into enough clear chances.

Table impact and next up

Eik-Tonsberg's victory strengthens their position in the Norwegian 2. Divisjon standings and adds to their reputation as one of the division's more dangerous away teams. Notodden FK remain in need of consistency, especially at home, where dropped points could prove costly in a tightly packed table. Both sides will now prepare for their next league fixtures, with Eik-Tonsberg looking to build momentum and Notodden aiming to respond quickly.
