Mandalskameratene produced one of their most emphatic performances of the Norwegian 3.Divisjon season on 26 September 2026, dismantling Odd Grenland 2 4-0 at home. The victory underlined the hosts’ promotion credentials and left the reserve side with plenty to ponder after a long evening.

Match overview

From the opening minutes, Mandalskameratene set the tempo. They pressed Odd Grenland 2 high up the pitch, forced turnovers in midfield, and created a steady stream of chances. The visitors, a development side for Odd Grenland, struggled to cope with the physicality and intensity of the hosts.

The breakthrough arrived in the 12th minute when Mathias Løvland latched onto a through ball and slotted calmly past the goalkeeper. Mandalskameratene doubled the lead in the 34th minute, Kristian Skår heading home from a corner. At half-time, the scoreline read 2-0, but the margin could have been wider.

Key moments

• 12' – Mathias Løvland opens the scoring after a quick counter-attack.
• 34' – Kristian Skår nods in a corner to make it 2-0.
• 58' – Sondre Bakken finishes a sweeping move for the third.
• 77' – Andreas Røstad converts a penalty to complete the rout.

Tactical story

Mandalskameratene lined up in a 4-3-3 and used their wide players aggressively, stretching the Odd Grenland 2 back line. The midfield trio won the second balls consistently, allowing the hosts to sustain attacks. Odd Grenland 2 tried to play out from the back, but they were often pressed into errors and rarely found a rhythm in the final third.

Standout players

Løvland was a constant threat with his movement, while Skår controlled the midfield and contributed a goal. Bakken and Røstad also impressed, and the defence kept a clean sheet. For Odd Grenland 2, the goalkeeper made several saves to prevent an even heavier defeat, but the team’s attacking players were largely anonymous.

Season impact

The three points strengthen Mandalskameratene’s position in the upper half of the Norwegian 3.Divisjon table. With the promotion race tightening, a dominant home win could prove valuable for goal difference and momentum. Odd Grenland 2 remain focused on player development, but this result highlights the gap between the reserve side and the division’s stronger clubs.
